View Full Version : Marketing materials for non-pros?

Like many, I'm what you might call an "enthusiast detailer." I take care of cars belonging to family and friends, and take great pride in my work. I apply the same level of dedication to the (very) occasional sideline jobs I take. But averaging perhaps one paid detail a month, I just can't offer professional-only products and take advantage of the marketing materials offered to installers of these products.

For those of us who do the occasional paid job, are there any marketing material available that we could use to help potential customers make decisions about paint coatings or sealants and other services?

The best marketing material regardless if you are a Pro or not is YOU! Shake hands and educate people!

#1 The good doctor makes the greatest point and best advice of all!!

#2 We already have gorgeous CarPro catalogs to help you explain about the products to your customers. You can buy one for 1.50 OR request one in the notes with any order over 50$

#3 Absolutely! We truly value our enthusiasts (that's where I started in this industry) its on my list to create trifold brochures explaining the product and associated services to your customers for each of our products expanding on the catalogs we currently offer.

A trifold for the new leather coating would be awesome!

Same,

Being in the same boat as you, I like to use a smartphone, tablet, or computer to inform folks about products and what they offer. It's free and folks can Bookmark pages and refer back to them later. What I also like is that technology allows for the viewing of videos that highlight those products.
As a fellow enthusiast, I'm careful and very picky about jobs that compensate. I have made it a rule that unless it is family or a close friend, I don't take them. I will refer them to a local guy who happens to be a CQuartz Finest authorized installer. I have concerns about the Litigious society we live in today but that is for another topic.

Good Luck!

Steve

I agree Todd!! Thats the one I'm looking forward to most! What do you think of one that covers all the coatings vs one separate for each one? I'm leaning towards one for all coatings just due to the cost of design and printing of large qty.

CQuartz UK
CQuartz
Dlux
Leather
Forte
Fabric
Reload
Hydro2

Easiest thing is to make downloadable PDF. files of your brochures available on the Forum

The file could then be used to print at home or be emailed to Kinko's and have them print and fold them

Eliminates the cost of shipping and the headache of managing the program

Getting exciting!! I can't wait!

Hey Corey, can you make some T-shirt available for long torso people. I love my CarPro t-shirt but at 6'6" and after a couple of washes....my belly button is showing every time I raise my arms.

We trashed the original shirt concept - my designer is finishing up a proof on his take of my new concept. Should go to print next week if it just needs a tweak or two

As for the shirt... I canned a lot of the fancy busy ideas and designs with nano tech molecules spinning, etc... Planning for a cleaner design. What do you guys think? Honest feedback appreciated... These are for YOU guys so I want to hear from you! Do we go to print or add some jazz back to it?

Those brochures look absolutely killer! As for the T-Shirt... looks a bit on the "plain" side; at the very least it needs your URL added ;)

If you want your car to shine, Carpro will get it right!

I have been saying this on ClubLexus forum :D

By the way, to Corey and any other Carpro company big bosses, you guys need to thank Zach, he has made a lot of recommendations for Carpro products on ClubLexus forum. I'm one of the consumers/car enthusiast who got brainwashed by Zach in a good way to finally try and test out various Carpro products. Bam, I literally became a Carpro fan! Many of your products are THAT good!!! I'm most impressed with Hydro2, Reload, Fast Glass, Reset etc

If I recall, the first time I hear about Carpro brand is from this thread http://www.clublexus.com/forums/automotive-care-and-detailing/741324-carpro-hydro2-buy-it.html

Agreed Charles! On all counts... Thanks for the feedback on the shirts also. The others were certainly more exciting but too busy... Going to incorporate just a touch of it into this one and definitely add a tag line and url

Thanks for the post and link!! Really cool to hear what's happening on different boards. I'm thrilled your enjoying the products too. Zach is an amazingly talented individual and I'm grateful he's sharing his info and knowledge about our products along side his tips and work!

Those are going to be really great to have on hand!

Not to add to your work, but are there any branded spray bottles or decanter bottles available (without buying a smaller size product)? Or perhaps some bottle labels with MSDS info we can slap on our own PET bottles... Or even printer-ready PDFs of bottle labels we could access, that would be amazing.

Call me obsessive, but I like "facing" my product shelves, and when people walk into my garage they do a double-take at all the uniform Meg's Detailer bottles. I'd love to show off a uniform row of CarPro bottles and sprayers the same way.

Update on the coming shirts! Look for them around June 11th! There was a slight delay as we chose to go with the really premium quality "Next Level" shirts so I had to order a couple to try on and wash a couple times. LOVE them!! Cant wait to see them with our designs!
