This 97 Dodge Viper (1 of 7 Gold package) was an absolute pleasure, as well as an immense challenge, to work on. The Viper has 3 sets of wheels, including the original gold wheels, and was wearing Vellanos for the detail. It is owned by a very good client of mine who entrusts me with his collection of vehicles, including a BMW M5, Mercedes SL55 Brabus, and an outrageously customized and enormous, Ford F650.

I’m not sure if I have ever worked on a more vicious car. This 8.0 liter, V10 Viper was loud, and choppy. The Borla exhaust had just the right note. One listen and look under the hood, told that this engine was not 100% stock. It’s really hard to describe just how thunderous and insane the viper was. I picked up and delivered the viper to the client. I got the full experience. You just had to be there.
With only 15,000 miles on the odometer, it’s surely one of the nicest Vipers out there. Unfortunately, at some point in its life, it had been severely mistreated by an either inexperienced or negligent detailer. As you will see in the photos, the main body was badly swirled but the hood was flat out damaged by a rotary buffer.

Correction Materials and process:
Meguair’s 5” Microfiber Cutting Pads with...
M100 cutting compound on main body
M105 and Kevin Brown Method on hood
Something worth mentioning is the extensive use of my 2” pneumatic DA with custom cut 2” foam pads. You can not polish this car without 2” and 3-4” pads. It’s impossible.

Finishing:
CarPro Reflect via foam polishing pad
After polishing, the paint was rewashed and prepped with Eraser
I then coated the paint with Cquartz UK, let cure, and topped with Reload.
The results were stunning
