I'm personally thrilled with holding the suede against the sides but I know some guys that will love this trick. Enjoy!

Interesting. I was wondering if anyone else had a technique for this. I have a slightly different approach that also works very well. Maybe I'll post it up if I have some time to shoot some pics of it.

He said blow out the crack....lmfao. Seriously though, very cool idea. I've never had an issue holding the sides, but I will give this a try for sure!

I felt that holding the suede MF with the grip of death was my workout for the day. I may become flabby and lazy if I start using this method!?! LOL!

That's awesome. We've been using larger suede applicators that wrap higher on the block and use a push pin to hold them in place, but I really like this method better.

Ok one more noob question, how do you know when to flip/switch out the microfiber applicators when applying CQuartz? Any generally prescribed method number of panels?

Hi Chad!! GREAT question! It depends on the coating - For instance CQuartz original I use until I rub against something suspicious or it looks soiled or whitish at all.
CQuart UK I am MUCH more diligent about as it will have a MAJOR impact on how nicely the product behaves going on and coming off. For UK the rule is one large panel or a couple small panels and then FLIP, then same rule moving forward, and then toss!
Another trick is to do some trim with it when its getting ready to get tossed... Kind of a thing for me. Always curious if others do that too :)

Cool idea there too! Just don't use a 1" long push pin! LOL - Glad this helped
