Howdy gang,

The old Titan is nearing 10 years old. Although in great shape, the wife and I are thinking it's time for a new truck. I'm really liking the Tundra and wondering if anyone here has one. I'd like to know your experience.

Also, I'm not ruling out the new F 150.

I have a 2012 Toyota Tundra and my dad has a 2014. They are awesome trucks. The new F150 is nice but so expensive.

Thanks Jeff. My wife likes the 1794 edition...of course. I asked her, " where's the money tree in our backyard?" LOL!

Mr. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$! LOL! The Raptor is pretty bad butt and the King Ranch...oh the King Ranch...

The 1794 Tundra is suppose to appeal to those who like the King Ranch.

I love my Tundra and it should be paid off in less than two years. If Toyota doesn't do something other than a slight redesign, I am buying a new Raptor.

Ok, I have input here. On my 3rd tundra now. Nothing but great things to say about them!! Bought the first one in 2000 racked up 187k and lost it to a teen driver who couldn't see it parked in front of my house at 2 am. :( that trucks only mechanical issue was starter at 120k. In 2010 bought an 06 used with 65k on it to pull my boat, traded it last year on a 2013 due to a rear end gear noise. Otherwise lost the water pump at 202k. They gave me 7500 at a dealership for trade in!

They are as close to bullet proof as they come. All three have been driven extensively in a harsh gulf coast climate and pull my flats skiff at least 8k miles per year. The 13 is also my work truck for mobile detailing service. And about to come into the garage for final paint correction and CQuartz coating. When I can find a break in my schedule.

Gang,

Thanks for the input. I purchased a new 2015 Tundra TRD/SR5 PKG. I will post pics tomorrow and I have already reached out to my local CQUARTZ Finest installer!

Here it is! In the back ground, you can see my old truck too. If it would stop raining then I could get more...

Thanks Guys! Truck is going in for a CQUARTZ Finest coat with Greg at Signature Detailing. I was going to do the UK but chose to kick it up! Also going to have him install Xpel on the front since we do a lot of highway driving.

Two posts, two questionable links (I've removed both). Do not post any others.

Hi E,

With 3,700 miles on it, I like it. Averaging about 16 miles, mixed highway and around town.

I'm going on a road trip soon so I went in and had them change the oil and rear diff lube. I do that, although the dealer tried to talk me out of it...LOL.

If I could the only things I would change...

1. The entire rear window goes down, which isn't a big deal.
2. A bigger gas tank, which they offer now. They offer a 38 gallon tank vs. my 27 gallon tank.

Also, I believe all the 2016's have the full Entune Audio/radio pkg where as mine has about half the apps. With today's cell phones no big deal and I like having my GPS separate from the radio.

The oil filter is a cartridge vs. canister so it requires a little more effort.

Soon, I'll find out how the 4 wheel drive works....

Anything more specific, ask away but I'm very happy with my investment.

don't have my tundra yet but that will come sometime in 2016. the larger gas tank is a big deal on all the tundra forums because of the ___teen MPG with this truck although super white with CQuartz Finest gets better gas mileage from what i understand. something to do with less paint friction and aerodynamics. here's an option for ya steve. go big or go home...an aftermarket 46 gallon tank.

Steve - please update this after the road trip. I really like the Tundra, but it might just be too big for what we need.. But the space and comfort may win us over.

E,

The trip may be canceled as of last night. I just filled up yesterday. I had 306 miles on the tank and the fill up was 19 gallons. Even though one of the screens said 20 miles to empty, you still have roughly 6 gallons.
My tank included a mix a mix of highway and around town. This also included picking up some wood pellets for the upcoming winter.
The truck, imo, is comfortable.

Bama seems to step on the gas at the end of the 3rd qtr going into the 4th qtr. Big game this weekend between Bama and LSU.

Btw...Welcome aboard!
