Looking for some opinions on portable and affordable lighting for use on helping see interior and for use on the exterior of vehicles for detailing. I have a second Bay that has terrible overhead lighting. Thanks

Take a look at this thread...http://carproforum.com/showthread.php?48-DIY-LED-Work-Light. These are AWESOME. Best lights I've ever had!!!

I'll second what Tad said. I also like using an LED head lamp when doing interiors also.

I built the light in the the thread Tad linked to, and love it (Thanks again Zack!).
For interiors, I recently picked up a 4 ft. LED light (http://www.harborfreight.com/120-led-rechargeable-under-hood-work-light-60793.html) from Harbor Freight. It puts off a lot of light, and can be attached on both ends.

Definitely check that thread. Built two light stands based on what was discussed there. Also look at sporting or marine stores for inexpensive handheld led spot lights. I have two battery operated spots that have two settings and are very helpful. Carry one all the time for inspecting correction jobs I quote.
