Hey all, new to the "carpro" world. Ive been using typical washes and waxes my entire life (megs, adams, etc.). Not bashing them as theyre still good, but a recent application of CQuartz and reload on my 2013 Tuxedo Black Ford F150 had me fall in love.

I used iron x which ill definitely buy more of and eraser then cquartz/reload. Great stuff. Included with my order I chose a 50ML sample of PERL which I used on my plastics/rubber on the body and I love it so far, but hows it do on tires? I use a semi-aggressive all terrain tire so 50ML wasnt enough but finding a nice, tire store black i hard to find. A matte/satin if you know what I mean. Would PERL grant me this? Im looking at investing up to $75 tonight on carpro items since most of my other stuff is empty. If you had that spending limi what would you get? I still have about 900ML reload left. Im thinking 1L of PERL and 500ML of reset most likely. What would you use if you were me with $75? I do have a foam lance. Thanks guys.!

Hi Eco,

PEARL is a favorite of mine on tires. With that said, PREPERATION is key! No product will be successful without proper cleaning. I have found with PEARL, over time, the "sheen" lasts. I can go a wash or two without applying it and, like you, the tire has a nice matte finish. With tires, my initial prep, I will use a strong cleaner, like Shine Supply tire cleaner...http://www.carpro-us.com/wheels-tires-and-trim-care/shine-supply-wise-guy-tire-cleaner-16-oz/
Then after that the Shine Supply APC or just Resest.
RESET...a great soap for your foam lance.
Iron X about every 6 or more months to help keep the crud from accumulating on your coating. This depends on your atmospheric conditions.
I like having TRIX on hand too...http://www.carpro-us.com/paint-decontamination/carpro-trix-tar-iron-remover-500ml-16-oz/
I have some other ideas but anything specific you are looking for or to replace?

Btw...:welcome:

Steve

I was looking at the glass coating, fly by I think its called? Tires I usually clean with APC and a stiff brush. Get em nice and clean then apply usually megs endurance (are we allowed to say other products? I know some forums are picky.) Do you dilute 1:1 or something else for the matte/satin sheen? I hate the fake over gloss look.

So far im looking at 2-3 more BOA towels, 500ML of reset and 500ML of perl since im guessing itll last me a while.

Also lookig at spotless, im in georgia so it rains one day, then its 95 4 hours later and sunny. Water spots are damn near mandatory it seems.

As far as the PEARL, I like it undiluted. With that said, cutting it 1:1 may be to your liking. I do use the 1:1 for some purposes.

What kind of mitts do you have? I'm a fan of the Incredimitt and Merino Wool wash mitt.

As

Just be sure to use the Spotless as per instructions. Sorry to hear about the rain and heat. I'll know about that soon enough...;)

As far as other products, it's frowned upon pushing, endorsing,or linking items to competitors that are not sold at the Car Pro store. Since you are switching to PEARL...
