Hi All,
This is my review of the new UWW with Acrylic. First, I'd like to Thank Corey for selecting me, along with the others, to give UWW Acrylic a try and offer my opinions. I have been a big fan of the original formula for a long time.
The vehicle used was a 2000 Honda CR-V. It had a coat of RELOAD applied a few months ago and was about due for a boost.
The weather as of 0900 hours today was 84 degrees with a dew point of 77 degrees and relative humidity of 75%. The Real Feel temperature was 95 degrees.
First thing I noted was the difference in color. The original UWW is a subdued Lime Green whereas the new Acrylic formula is white. Also, the original has a citrusy fruit scent whereas the new formula has a non citrus fruit scent...I think...LOL!
Also the formulation mix is a bit different. The new UWW Acrylic calls for the following:
For a pre mixed bottle... 1 ounce to 22 ounces of water. For a bucket wash, the directions call for 2 ounces to 3 gallons of water.
Here is what I received as part of the package...

From here, I mixed a bucket of wash solution, 2 ounces of UWW Acrylic to 3 gallons of water then allowed the high quality MicroFiber towels to soak for a few minutes...

As for my process, I used the spray bottle solution as a pre soak then followed by the bucket solution soaked M.F. towel. The towels were folded in to fourths with a new side being used on each new panel or as needed.
I also did the windows and trim but not the windshield. To me, it acted and cleaned as the non acrylic original UWW. I encountered no issues at all and found that it left the surface a bit smoother and even a bit more slippery as compared to the original non Acrylic .
I found no cons" with the new formula as of now. I'm curious as to what the price will be on the new Acrylic formula and won't use it with every waterless/rinseless wash. I do like the added protectant and gives consumers another option.
The original UWW, non Acrylic, calls for 1/2 ounce to 22 ounces of water for pre mixed spray formula and 1 ounce of UWW to 3 gallons of water, as per label.
The new UWW Acrylic calls for 1 ounce to 22 ounces of water for the pre mixed spray solution and 2 ounces of UWW Acrylic to 3 gallons pf water for the bucket wash/Rinseless wash.
Since it has been very hot and humid here, I'm sure we will have an afternoon Thunderstorm and will follow up with beading shots.
I also plan on dong a 2016 F150 hopefully very soon as schedules allow.
As a side note, a question was asked on another thread about using with coatings. I did clean one coated wheel just to see what would happen. The solution acted as it did with the panels.
I did use a waffle weave M.F. towel to dry the CR-V. Those too were high quality.
