Hello all,

I've recently been looking into putting CQuartz on my 2013 Chevy Sonic (black metallic). I'm a college student and don't have access to a hose or covered parking unless I drive a few hours to go home. That being said, I only wash my car at most once, maybe twice per two weeks. I bought my car new and have taken care of the paint well and am wondering what kind of CQuartz I should use. I've been thinking about UK because the application looks a little easier than classic and I've read it seems to look better with metallic paints. The reason I haven't done ceramic coatings in the past is because I thought the process was way more difficult. I also used to wash my car 2-3 times per week and waxed it 1-2 times per month before college. But now, I only wax/apply sealant about 4 times per year. Any suggestions on which CQuartz to use?
My next question is what do I need to wash my car after CQuartz? I currently use ONR rinseless wash&wax or Adams wash and wax. I know you don't typically want to use any products with wax in them after CQuartz. Is there anything I can use safely without using the two bucket method and hose; something that's either rinseless or waterless?
How often should I use reload? Is it the more often the better? I currently use Adams H20 guard and gloss and apply it after every wash. Should I do the same with reload, or is that just kind of wasting it?
I currently have in my cart to order CQuartz UK 30ml with reload, 500ml carpro eraser, and a Polyshave decon mini block (time for some new clay). Any critiquing or anything else I should add?

Thanks,
Robby

UK is usually more complex than Tio2 for most people. The process is time consuming and definitely needs machine polished first. Do you have a machine, pads, and polishes? If you do not and wont be investing in them then you would do best to go with CarPro Essence PLUS, Reset, Iron X, Ech2o, Incredisponge, and Dry Me Crazy towel. Oh, and some crazy pile towels.

But now, I only wax/apply sealant about 4 times per year. Any suggestions on which CQuartz to use? Tio2 is you are determined to coat but very important to prep and polish right first as mentioned.

My next question is what do I need to wash my car after CQuartz? Yes, that is what https://www.carpro-us.com/latest-products/carpro-ech2o-concentrate-17oz-500ml/ is made for.

How often should I use reload? Is it the more often the better?

You can use it as often as you like or if properly prepped first it will last months.

Yes, see my notes above. I would get CarPr Reflect as well but will want machine and pads to polish.

Thanks Robby!

Yes, I have a porter cable dual action polisher/pads/and polish. I have and can do everything leading up to CQuartz (minus eraser, which I'll order). Will applying reload once a month or twice a month have any sort of advantage at all versus every few months?
I use meguiars m105 and m205 for polishing btw. Already have quite a few microfiber madness towels as well.

Rather you choose to use a coating, or Reload as a stand alone product; as long as the surface is properly prepared, the protection is already there doing its job. Therfore the advantage I see to using Reload that often would be to add some additional shine, gloss, and slickness (if slickness is important to you) to the paint. It also gives you the opportunity to interact with the paint a little more than just a basic wash. Some guys really enjoy adding things to their pant. Kind of like the zen from waxing every so often. Instead of applying Reload that often, you may want to consider this (take note of post#2 for dilution ratio)...http://carproforum.com/showthread.php?4468-Ech20-Reloaded-what-say-you we call this Merlin''s Magic Elixir

I know it's been awhile, but just now remembering to add pics. I did both my car and my brother's car (used 50ml) when I was on spring break a few weeks ago. It turned out extremely well in my opinion.
