Despite best efforts, a couple specks is dust or pollen for embedded in my coat during the curing process. I’ve used Essence to correct high spots (which was surprisingly was), but was curious if that was the best way to clear out specks if dirt and such, and if so how much of the coating is actually dissolved. If I’ve applied two coats, does the Essence wipe out both coats, or just loosen enough to ease out high spots or (hopefully) clear out dirt?

Any abrasive polish or compound will remove the coating. Essence contains abrasives.

^ Agreed!

If you polish with Essence it will remove the coating.
Any areas where you have high spots/specks of dirt, dust etc. when you polish with Essence it removes the coating.
You need to recoat the areas you have polished.

Essence Plus, on the other hand, does not contain abrasives.
