I love the no rinse wash, saves so much time and with the great product UWW+ it saves a ton of product vs waterless, at least for me I think I just put on way too much product when I go waterless. The problem I find myself sometimes is, is this car too dirty for no rinse/ waterless? This is what my wife's car looked like yesterday. http://i61.tinypic.com/2eehm4w.jpg

I was worried that it might be too dirty for no rinse? We had to leave soon for a B-Day party and I did not want to show up in a car that was dirty so I was trying to think of a way to get this done quickly and safely. Here is what I came up with and I think it worked out pretty well I would like to know what you guys think.

I mixed up some UWW+ http://www.carpro-us.com/auto-wash/ultima-waterless-wash-plus-concentrate-16-oz/ and put my MM Incredipad http://www.carpro-us.com/microfiber-madness/microfiber-madness-incredipad/ and A MM Slogger http://www.carpro-us.com/microfiber-madness-slogger-16-x-16/. I let them soak for a few then I grabbed the incredipad squeezed the excess out and wiped it across the paint, it left more wash on the paint than normal but seemed very easy on the paint here is what it looked like. http://i61.tinypic.com/sql3rl.jpg

I then took the slogger and squeezed most of the wash out and wiped the area, it left very little wash water and surface was clean it looked like this.http://i61.tinypic.com/18jgk0.jpg

Then I took a BOA http://www.carpro-us.com/microfiber-towels/boa-super-soft-plush-microfiber-towel-16-x-24/ and wiped the area and it looked like this. http://i60.tinypic.com/1zp2wex.jpg

I was very happy how this worked out I looked hard and did not see any added damage to the paint, it was fast and effective in my opinion. What do you guys think?

This is a great product. I've used it on the fly for bird bombs, waterless wash (with summit 800), drying aid, QD and aftershave.

I use 1 oz per 3 gallons for rinseless. I ue UWW+ @ WW concentrate as a pre-soak. use the Incredisponge as wash media and the DMC to dry.

Nice shot Jimmy. I'm gonna have to order some UWW to replace the stuff I currently use.

Thank you for posting Jimmy! Its so cool to see everything in action and hear of your results. My thought seeing the before photo is that I would keep your first two steps (or at least the very first step) as wet as possible without squeezing any of the solution out. The key with waterless when there is excess dirt is to break into steps (as you know) removing the heaviest grit very very gently and with lots of lubrication, followed by slightly less product and more buffing instead of drag gin in subsequent steps so it sounds like your method follows that pretty well. Maybe just use a more soaked sponge for the first step. Very nicely done! She cleaned up great bud!

I normally go to a coin op wash and use the spot Free setting when a vehicle has allot of stuff on it . Then I do a rinseless w/ UWW+ , same way as Old Tiger it sounds . I use UWW+ mixed at WW strength do a panel at a time pre soaking it w/ the WW before doing rinseless .

Thanks for all the feed back, are some of you guys saying that u use WW before no rinse as pre soak on really dirty panels? That seems like a great idea and way to use less WW cuz when I do whole car with WW I use alot of it.

Yes that's what I'm saying and I think Old Tiger is too . I even do it on panels that aren't all that dirty , specially on my weekend car . More lube the better is how I see it .

I also have re-discovered UWW+ as no-rinse wash. I just use the dean method (mix a uww+ batch, drop in a few MF towels to soak, use soaked MF towel for 1st vertical swipe on panel; generally 1 MF side per wipe on dirty cars, flip to clean MF side, wipe down next section, repeat to finish panel. Then use less soaked/equally soaked MF towel to go over same panel; then wipe down & buff and done).

I have some black engine/wheel towels that I have used for this. I don't do it often but if it's really cold or if the wells and wheels look worse than the paint and I need a quick fix. Here is what I've done:
Spray the wells with UWW and let it dwell for a moment and use the (warm water) damp engine towel and wipe. It's not going to get any major build up off but it works on a well maintained car.

By any chance, is this vehicle a Honda Pilot?

Jimmy,

I mixed a bottle of UWW and used the leftover solution with black MF towels. I sprayed the Wells then hit with the towels with solution. The wells came out nice. I then soaked the towels in a bucket of APC then rinsed with a hose before washing them.
