I hope I will not ask too many dumb questions, however, this product has peeved my interest. It is a touch-less sealant. I like putting on a sealant topped of with a carnauba wax. Can Carpro touchless be used as a maintenance for upkeep? Will I be able to put on a wax after using the Carpro touchles.

Is this very similar to a rinseless wash? I know the less you touch your car the less chances of scratching. I am wondering if this would be a great maintenance product. I will use a rinseless wash only if my car has slight dust. If there is dirt I do the foam gun 2bm wash.

Any opinions or experience with the Carpro Touchless wash would be greatly appreciated. My guess this would be a great product for those that do not wash their cars after it has been cleaned for a while.

Thanks in advance

Hello CJ,

If you are referring to Hydro2 Touchless sealant http://www.carpro-us.com/exterior-surface-protection/hydro2-touchless-sealant-concentrate-500ml/
Then NO, it is nothing like a rinseless wash. It is a true sealant that is to be applied only after the vehicle is clean. The great part about it is that it is incredibly easy to use, effective, and a true wipe-less sealant! (Without having to wipe and buff off waxes or sealants there is a lot less chance of scratches)! I also love that it can be applied to all vehicle surfaces (paint, wheels, calipers, wheel wells, glass, etc.) very quickly and efficiently. Hydro2 forms a water repellent coating that is applied by simply spraying the product on and then rinsing it off with water!

As far as applying a carnauba wax on top of it, I can't see any reason you couldn't do so. Although, I can't see any reason you would want to either. Hydro2 provides an insane amount of gloss and protection that will produce sheeting action and beads sure to bring a smile to your face for up to 6 months!

If you are looking for a GREAT waterless/rinsless wash product to be used for slight dust maintenance or bird bomb removal; I would suggest Ultima Waterless Wash http://www.carpro-us.com/ultima-waterless-wash-concentrate-16-oz-bundle-w-bottle-and-sprayer/
Two very different products for two very different jobs; I use both regularly and LOVE them both!

Here's an interesting application...

I recently did a detail on a Lexus IS.
The owner had the entire vehicle Plasti Dipped.

We coated the vehicle with Hydro2 Touchless sealant.

Later in the week he hit some heavy rain...He said "It was awesome!"

Hey Melin, do you have any pictures of the Lexus to share? I would be very interested to see a Plasti Dipped Lexus.

Sadly, I didn't...but hopefully I may be able to hook up with him this Friday.
If so I'll snap a few...It is an odd Plasti Dip as it changes colors with the light as you walk around it.
This is a new Plasti Dip. His last one was luminescent. At night you could write your name on in with a Mag light.
