Hey fellow ocd'ers, just applied my fisrt coating of cquartz with no issues and was pleased with the 2 coats applied. next day before the vehicle leaves i will apply the reload. my question is what do i tell my customers for care instructions and wash procedures. are all car washes off limits after 7 days or just the nasty spinning brushes of doom ones? thanks guys for the help!!
No soap for 7 days. As far as car washes, the only one I use is a self wash bay and that is just to RINSE ONLY during the winter. If someone is going to invest in a coating then they should use proper techniques. 2 or 3 bucket method, two for body (Rinse Wash) and one for wheels and tires. I also use a Foam Cannon.
Some will say using Brush car washes are fine but I would not.
I'm guessing you used the regular CQ? Taken from CQ page at Car Pro's store...
CarPro USA After Tips:
A second layer will add further gloss, & thickness to the coating
Vehicle can be parked in direct sun any time after application is complete
Keep surface dry for at least one hour after application
Wipe any water off the surface during the first 24 hours after application
Avoid washing with any soaps for the first 7 days
Maintenance:
Wash with Reset regularly
Reload may be applied one hour (or longer) after CQuartz is buffed off and may be used to enhance gloss every few months without taking away from the lotus affect in the way that spray waxes would

Here's some more info on maintenance products and a few tips, some of which repeat Steve.
1.- Do not wash with soap for 5-7 days after application.
2.- Hand wash vehicle regularly with CarPro Reset
3.- Occasionally (every 3 to 6 months) decontaminate surface with CarPro Iron X. Use during wash cycle (after Reset)
4.- Apply CarPro Reload for special occasions, any time you like, or after Iron X
Precautions:
A.- Avoid sprinkler and hard tap water (If your vehicle is subjected to this and it is not removed in the regular wash cycle then use CarPro Spotless and MF towel.
B.- Remove bird bombs from vehicle surfaces immediately (Ultima Waterless Wash + MF towel)
CQuartz Care Products for a variety of options:
CarPro Hydrofoam (3 months)
CarPro HydroFoam is a pH Neutral surfactant designed to gently lift and remove dirt from solid surfaces in both a safe and effective manner. Directions by Hand:
1. Wash only in shade and rinse well before use.

3. Wash with mitt
4. Rinse mitt and panel(s)
5. Move to next panel(s) and repeat steps 2-4
6. Rinse the entire vehicle well
7. Dry any remaining water off with Microfiber Madness Dry Me Crazy or WavRider
CarPro Reset (when vehicle is dirty)
CarPro Reset (Car Wash) was formulated as the perfect partner to CQuartz, with cleaning properties tailored to its unique needs. Utilizing Intelligent pH Surfactants, Reset breaks down road grime and traffic films with the power of an alkaline cleaner, whilst being as gentle on the surface as a pH-neutral shampoo. 1. - Fill wash bucket with 3 to 4 gallons) of water and mix approximately 1.5 oz. of Reset
2. - Pre-rinse vehicle to remove loose debris, and wash out of direct sunlight from the top down using our CarPro Merino Wool Wash Mitt, rinsing the mitt/sponge often BEFORE placing it back into the wash bucket to collect more soap.
3. - Rinse vehicle as you go - do not allow shampoo to dry on the surface.

§ Do not apply in direct sun
§ Apply in good ambient lighting
§ Shake well
§ Spray a few sprays across small section, spread and buff in evenly with quality microfiber towel
§ Work it into the paint evenly until almost flashed away
§ Flip Towel and buff off remaining residue
§ Be sure to work in great ambient lighting and check the panel closely before moving to the next panel.
CarPro Iron X (use every 3-12 months)
CarPro Iron X advanced pH-balanced formula safely breaks down ferrous metallic contamination caused by automotive brakes, rail dust, and construction from delicate vehicle surfaces. It can be used on paint, plastic, chrome, glass, and alloy wheels. · Use outside with sufficient ventilation (Rinse driveway regularly during use)
· Wash the vehicle in the shade with Reset and rinse well
· Shake the bottle of Iron X, then across the surface
· Allow the product to dwell for approximately 3-4 minutes in the shade Do not allow it to dry on the surface
· Thoroughly rinse the surface and gently mitt with Reset once more
· Rinse and dry surface gently and thoroughly

· Wash vehicle with Reset
· Shake well and spray on quality microfiber towel
· Gently spread and massage area where spots exist
· Repeat if necessary
· Wipe off with Microfiber Madness Crazy Pile and neutralize the area with Reset wash
