I’m not too familiar with using a drying agent, but gave it a try.
Reload spray on just-washed, still wet, vehicle.
Should I wipe down the vehicle using a microfiber drying towel (waffle weave) or a microfiber buffing towel or something else?
I tried both and they both seemed to work ok, but would rather hear from the experts.
This was on my black F-250, which I coated with CQuartz 3.0 last fall.

For a less expensive option you could use Ech2o, mixed as a Quick Detailer, or even Elixir. Personally, I prefer to use Reload on a dry surface as per bottles instructions.
I recently reapplied CQUK/Ti02 on my truck. I mainly use a filtered air blaster when ever possible. When I do employee a drying towel, I reach for Ech2o or Elixir.

The nice thing is if you have ECH2O, Reload, and water you can make Elixir or just buy it already mixed.
I mix my solutions with my Reverse Osmosis water system in my house. The Total Dissolved Solids in the water are near 0.

I figured it was time to use Reload as maintenance for my CQ 3.0 and why not try it in it’s drying agent mode.
Note: I have to do this outdoors (no room for the truck in the barn, though if I really had to, I could clear out some space, which led me to the ‘Reload as drying agent’ approach.
So, assuming this is a once-every-few-months maintenance of the CQ coating, would you use Reload? If so, in it’s drying agent usage? Or would you prefer to do the Reload maintenance step on a dry vehicle and make room in the barn).
And, if you were in the interim using Elixir as a quick Detailer, would you dry the vehicle with the normal Blower and a drying microfiber.
Like I said, I’m new at the whole drying agent step. I usually do a walk and blower, them drying towels.

I prefer to use Reload as a “stand alone” every few months as a topper on my coatings. After the vehicle is washed and dried, I’m applying it to a dry cool surface in a shaded area, I will apply it as per instructions. I have also applied it via a microfiber applicator and let it sit a few minutes then remove. It could be me but I think it leaves the surface slicker.
As a drying agent, Elixir has some Reload in it. Elixir isn’t a full strength Reload application but it will add some protection.
Either way, a shaded area and cool surface. So if you can get that area in the barn squared away...lol
I don’t know if you do this but I will sheet or flood the surface with the hose without a nozzle, I have a shut off on the end. I will allow the water to remove much of the standing water. I then use my Blaster Revolution to remove any remaining water While keeping a drying towel in hand for those crevice areas. The less I can touch the surface the better.
When I do use a drying towel, I will use either ECH2O , mixed to QD ratio, or Elixir. I may use Elixir once a month and ECH2O the other times.
As far as applying Reload, the environmental factors will come into play. I live in South Alabama and the sun is absolutely brutal down here, also the torrential down pours on top of that. Then add in road construction and other fall out from the air.

EDIT....If you use Reload as a Drying agent, you can certainly do that but financially speaking and dilution wise, it is costly.

Granted, It’s worth it for me but for someone who only cares for just their vehicles, it maybe cost prohibitive.
Thankfully, the outlets in my garage are 20 amp soI don’t have a breaker issue.
