As everyone already stated, Esssence is the exception to the rule, as it has Sio2 as Cquartz, acting as a primer and promoting bonding.
Must mention its insane gloss. Such an exceptional product!...
You dont need to polish the surface again to do another Cquartz coat. That will damage it to some degree. Claying or mechanical decon isnt recommended either.

Merino Wool Wash mitt is reserved for well cared, manteined vehicles.
15 months so far on my slightly faded rain gutters in my 1997, dalily driven VW GTI.
Beading has faded a little bit, but sheeting is still going strong. Car sits 24/7 without a roof.

I use the brush with the pad still attached to the polisher. The brush is really useful when cleaning the pads with APC/dedicated pad clenaer at the kitchen sink ;)
