How soon should Reload be applied?

First time using CQUK. I just found out that an application of Reload is recommended after application of CQUK. How soon should it be applied? Reason I ask is I ordered Reload a few days after CQUK, so I was planning on coating tomorrow and Reloading on Monday. Vehicle will stay inside the entire time between. Thanks!

Since this is you first post David I will say

Your Reload plan is perfect!! Personally I always wait about 12 hrs, even if I bake the coating. I believe that if you bake the coating you can Reload the coating as soon as one hour after application (but don't quote me, because Corey is the man)

Thanks! Yeah, that's what I figured. Corey pretty much just confirmed it for me too. Thanks a lot!

If I remember right - the Reload application is only really necessary if you plan on exposing the vehicle to water withing 24-48hrs of coating the vehicle. The Reload is only really intended to protect the coating while it cures. I believe Corey once told me that you can apply the Reload as soon as 1hr after coating a vehicle if you need to.

You can indeed add the reload over UK after one hour although in cool temps more time is even easier and you can wait as long as you like if it's inside. I prefer to apply as far out as I can without causing myself an inconvenience.

So if there's no rain in the forecast 1-2days post CQUK application and given its recommended not to wash with soaps the first week, is it ok to apply reload a week after and follow every month or two ? Especially during winter times. Aside that reload protects CQUK as its "curing from any rain/water, it is also used as a top off sealant on top of CQUK, right? Thank you!

The intended purpose of reload is somewhat confusing to me, so I wanted to confirm that it has an initial job which is not required if the car isn't exposed to rain the first 1-2days.

RELOAD is versitle. It can be used as a topper for CQUK or as a stand alone LSP.
It can be applied a week later, assuming your surface is clean. If it were me, if not applying an hour or so after CQUK application, I would wait after the 30 days until it cures. That is just me... As Corey stated just be mindful of your temperature. I try and keep a vehicle in my garage for 24 hours after CQUK applications.
You can certainly apply it every month or two, especially during the winter.
Keep in mind also, if you apply CQUK, morning dew or overnight freezes.

    Btw...have you seen this?

Thanks for the tips. I kept my car inside my heated garage for 48hrs so then I am good. I'll then apply the reload after my second wash, I was my car every two weeks. Interesting that you say it takes 30 days to cure! So is it vulnerable to the elements during that period and hence another reason why reload should be applied initially???

It fully hardens in 30 days, doesn't necessarily mean the coating is less effective. The new formulations may have changed and hopefully Corey or one of the gang will chime in.
The applying of RELOAD in that 24 hour window is addressing any water contact with the surface and preventing water spots with the coating.
Most every coating, that I know of, has a cure time. Then again, I don't know about every single coating on the market, which is constantly evolving.
