    2018 Cadillac XT5 - SUV Crossover
I must admit Caddy has ramped up its game in the last few years.

I was asked to do ad nauseam detail about what was done so here goes...

    Interior
Fortador Vapor Steam Cleaner powered by Lamborghini
All leather, carpet, a/c vents etc. disinfected and bacteria free
For hauling around to kids it turned out pretty sweet (factory new).

There was jeans dye transfer on the tan leather seats. It was gone.
Leather conditioned with Waxaddict Leather Balm applied with fingers.

    Exterior
Engine bay steam cleaned and dressed with Sonus Motor Kote
Presoak foam shampoo then two bucket wash method with Reset
Minor swirls, a few small surface scratches, and a little PDR work.
PDR was odd? On the rear hatch, the dent was an outie, not an innie.

    Decontamination:
IronX then flush then Immolube and Nanoskin Autoscrub (FINE) mitt

    Compound:
Rupes 21 MKII w/5" backing plate
5" rupes green pad with Scholl Concepts S3 Gold

    Polished:
Rupes 21 MKII w/5" backing plate
5" Carpro gloss pad with Scholl Concepts S30+ Nano Compound

Wheels cleaned and tires coated with OBSSSSD Tire Dressing - Matte

    Coated - C.Quartz Finest Reserve:
Paint cleaned with Eraser and two coats of C.Quartz Finest Reserve.
Final baking at 140 degrees for 20 minutes with a shortwave IR light.

Short version: Cleaned, compounded, polished, coated and cooked.

Now on to some visuals...I hope you like 'em.

    Video:
1080p HD (Please use gear bottom right to set to 1080p) The ending is pretty good...

I feel I have gotten a little better at the 360 walk-around vid. Not bad for a POS iPhone 6.
The biggest improvement (for me) was using a Zhiyun gimbal. It reduced the wobbling.

    Thanks for looking...

Merlin, your thoughts and comparison of the OBSSSD to Perl.

I like PERL...quick, fast, and easy. If you are looking for a good all-purpose dressing PERL is great.
IMHO PERL does not have a lot of longevity but it looks great at pick up time. Nice "look" and easy.

IMHO on tires OBSSSSD Tire Dressing - Matte has a richer darker "look" and more longevity.
When it is applied correctly...I also like the "Drys to the touch" so you do not have any sling.
I'm not a fan of the "Glazed doughnut" look that many of the consumer tire dressings have.

I found the application to be very easy using the CarPro Tire Swipe Applicator V2. Nice even coverage.
With the V2 I have application control to get in close without getting any "dressing" on the tire tread.
I personally feel that dire dressing only belongs on the sidewall. IMHO It looks sloppy on the tread.

I previously used Meguiar's tire shine with that deep wet look. Unfortunately it slings a bit even after follow-up with a wipedown. I have grown to like the look of Perl but as you say the longevity is not that much. I don't like high gloss anymore and Perl gives that nice Matte finish i'm looking for. I do like the look of the OBSSSSD though.

Great work on the Cadillac Merlin. The only other products that I like for my tires apart from PERL is Chemical Guys Natural Shine. The reason is that it leaves a non glossy water base satin finish on tires and trim. Maybe one day I will give OBSSSSD Tire Dressing a try. Thanks
