PREP:
If it's new and never been dressed - ipa Wipedown.
If it's old or oxidized start with Spotless or Reflect depending on the type of surface.
Next finish removing any existing dressing: Apc bath with a good mf towel scrubbing!!! RINSE thoroughly with another scrubbing (again using a towel) WHILE rinsing.
Dry
Alcohol Wipedown
Allow evaporate for a few minutes
Application:
TEXTURED trim work it in to the point it is even as you go. In other words don't apply it to a large area all at once. Get it even from one side of the piece and keep making it even all the way down. SUPER easy to use on textured trim. IF you want to dull the shine then very light wipe the back of the applicator over it a few minutes later. If you rub hard a few minutes later you will lower the durability.
SMOOTH TRIM:
Additional prep step- use CarPro Reflect to easily remove all oxidation and follow with Eraser.
Smooth plastic Application - This takes a light touch and is impossible to explain. Apply even and carefully work it till smooth (I prefer with flat cotton pad for this surface) KEY POINT - how long you work it smooth is critical. At a certain point you have to realize you must stop or it will get worse instead of better. At the end of this time you should be using a very light touch to get it perfect. For a strip 2-3" x16" I generally spend about 1-2 minutes to say "time to stop".
