PPF (PF/Clear Bra), Vinyl Wrap, Tints etc. before or after CQUARTZ and others
First of all HI GUYS, from Bucharest,Romania just registered about a week ago and this will be my first post with some questions about detailing of course ! In the last year or a bit longer i have watched loads of detailing videos, and started to put into practice a bit what i have learned, like some easier stuff, like decontamination and stuff with products but by no means the best, the best of the best are from CARPRO of course ! I have just gone 3 weeks ago to polish my headlights, fog lights and tail lights to a detailing service of a friend (because i don`t own yet a polishing machine), but after the steps, wetsanding needed only for the headlights with 2/3 different papers and polishing i noticed that there are still a few scratches left on the headlights visible only at night with the lights on i`d try to attach some photos before & after. He said he can`t get rid off and after i asked at 2 others detailing services if they could get rid off them, they told me that they can`t either, because the material wich is plastic got damage to deep or something wich the friend told me as well. Since then i have gone out with my car only 1 time. In case that it matters the car it`s gonna be about 9 years old in less then 1 week but with very low milleage about 44500 km wich is about 27651 miles. Sadly the car wasan`t kept in a garage or have had a cover or something but i`m planning to get one very soon. Hopefully it will not get stolen, maybe i`d try to write permanently the number of the car on it . And first of all before the questions let me guys apologize if there and there will be maybe some mistakes wich i didn`t realize in typing or something, i know i`m not a perfect english typer yet or something haha. And also i`m sorry if some questions might sound a little bit kinda "stupid like" because like i said i`m kinda new into this. By the way here are the exact same images i sent to the others 2 detailing services (i noticed now that in the 2nd photo in the link theres a slight haze as well or fog, that was left from the polish and it`s not there anymore from what i noticed): https://imgur.com/MebUzUr
1. Can i apply CQUARTZ DLUX 2 layers and how much should i wait between layers or i should apply only 1 layer because it doesen`t say and also what towel should i use to wipe it down at the end/after each layer? After could i top DLUX with CQUARTZ GLISS 2 layers and also what towel should i use to wipe it down after each layer? And in the end Reload on top of the headlights, fog lights and tail lights, and also with wich towel should i wipe it as well? Like could DLUX cover some of the scratches remain from what i heard? And after all of this could i go and apply a PPF/PF/Clear Bra (how do you guys wanna call it) on top of the headlights, fog lights and tail lights or there will be maybe some problems with the adhesive sticking to the surface because of the ceramic coating (i`ve understand from CARPRO UK SITE - FAQ that there might be problems with sticking or something but i might be wrong, like there it only says if you want to apply a PPF/PF/Clear Bra, it should be applied before CQUARTZ coatings) or there could happen as well some "ghosting" later? And i wonder if after all of this could i apply CQUARTZ Skin 2 layers or CQUARTZ UK 3.0 3 layers, but i guess Skin should be better in this case, because for this kind of materials it was designed? After on top of the PPF/PF/Clear Bra with upcoming 2 layers of GLISS and in the end top it with Reload? Or i should just stay directly with PPF/PF/Clear Bra and with upcoming 2 layers of Skin/3.0 3 layers, 2 of Gliss and Reload? Or how should i proceed ? And could i apply FOG FIGHT on top of the headlights, fog lights and tail lights before or after applying DLUX/Skin/3.0 or before or after the PPF/PF/Clear Bra if it`s safe? I didn`t notice any of these to fog yet but just in case.
2. Can i apply FOG FIGHT on all of the interior windows after i`d use the polish included with FlyBy FORTE and after wipe with Eraser, and after top the FOG FIGHT with FlyBy FORTE (yeah, i kinda want to use FORTE on the interior as well if it`s alright but on the exterior windows as well because i remember some months ago i was with a friend in the car and he came with a soda and somehow it just "exploded" on the back seats, thankfully i was parked and he grabbed it quickly from the back and got out but not without splashing some windows and the floor mats in the back... i remember it was a "pain" to clean the windows after 2 days... since then i don`t allow anyone with any kind of soda in the car or messy food anymore, but just to be sure in case their sneaking a soda and this will happen again wich i`m positive it won`t but just in case haha), top FORTE with 2 layers of GLISS if it`s possible but i guess it`s not recommended because it`s not marked as CQUARTZ ? Or should i just "stick" on the interior with FOG FIGHT or with FORTE? And should i apply it/them before i tint the windows (i want to go tint them because i want some UV protection, protection in case of an accident wich i hope it will never happen and sometimes because i want some privacy) or after i will go to apply the tints because there might be problems with the adhesive sticking like maybe in the case of PPF/PF/Clear Bra? And if i should do it after, i should use Eraser to wipe the tints if it`s safe on them? And after apply FOG FIGHT and top it with Skin 2 layers or CQUARTZ UK 3.0 3 layers also if it`s safe, but again i`d assume maybe that Skin should be better because for this kind of materials it was designed? And top Skin/3.0 as well with 2 layers of GLISS and after use Reload as well? Or i should apply FOG FIGHT in the end or in what steps should i do it? Or should i just "stick" with FOG FIGHT on the tints, on the interior if it`s safe on them? And also it`s FOG FIGHT good to apply on the rear view mirror and on the side mirrors of the car? Or what should i apply on them? I`ve notice only sometimes that the side mirrors might slightly fog but very rarely when i enter in a underground parking or something in the winter but not same goes for the rear view mirror, like it isn`t fogging.
3. Should i apply ceramic coating CQUARTZ UK 3.0 3 layers on my car paint and after top it with GLISS 2 layers and with Reload, all of this of course after all the decontamination & degrease procedures, polishing, but now my wondering is: Can i do this before going to apply a vinyl wrap to the car (i want to protect the original paint with vinyl wrap against rock chips and because as well i kinda give it another color and etc.. On the doorhandles and slightly the doors, there are already some pretty nasty marks from people wich don`t care about their cars...) and after applying Skin 2 layers or 3.0 3 layers, and once again i`d assume that Skin should be better because especially for vinyl wrap it was designed? Top Skin/3.0 with GLISS 2 layers and as well Reload after? Or the same principe apply here as well? Like there might be problems with the vinyl sticking to the paint and etc like maybe in the case of PPF/PF/Clear Bra? So i should in the end only prepare the paint for the vinyl wrap and let the shop i found apply only the vinyl wrap and after i should top it with Skin/3.0 and after GLISS 2 layers and Reload in the end?
4. I`m planning as well to mount a ducktail spoiler as well and a lip for the front bumper and i guess maybe here the same principle apply as well like maybe in the case with PPF/PF/Clear Bra/Tints, like by example the ducktail spoiler might not stick if the car is ceramic coated before by example with CQUARTZ UK 3.0 3 layers, GLISS 2 layers and Reload? And also it`s recommended to apply it before or after applying the vinyl wrap? And with what should i protect the ducktail spoiler and the lip for the bumper? Maybe with 3.0 3 layers or DLUX? And after applying 2 layers of GLISS and Reload? By the way the material of the ducktail spoiler and lip it`s gonna be carbon fiber in case that it matters.
5. It`s CQUARTZ Fabric safe to use on Alcantara? Or what it`s safe to use on it? And also how do you guys recommend to maintain Alcantara?
6. It`s Multi X safe on plastics, by example headlights, tail lights, fog lights, plastic grills? And also what towel should i use to buff it off and after use a pressure washer? Or i should just directly use the pressure washer? But anyway what kind of towel should i use with Multi X because i`m planning later to use it on the interior as well.
7. It`s Tar X and Iron X safe on the plastics by example the ones i mention at 5.? I saw loads of videos on YouTube and read on forums that most of the people are trying to not get Tar X and Iron X on plastics at all, i have saw some wich even go as far as applying tape on everything wich is plastic while using them. And also they are safe for glass?
8. It`s ClayBar safe on plastics by example again on the ones i mentioned at 5.? I have read again on forums that it`s not recommended to claybar plastic because there`s a slightly chance that it can scratch it pretty bad or something even with a lubrifiant? And also, it is safe on glass and wheels?
9. It`s Spotless safe on plastics by the example once again the ones i mentioned at 5.? And on glass and wheels? And with what kind of towel should i use to buff it off and after use the pressure washer?
10. It`s BUG-OUT safe on every surface of the car including wheels and glass? And should i rub it off with a towel and if, with what kind of towel, and after use the pressure washer? Or i assume with BUG-OUT you can go directly with the pressure washer?
11. Also are the products i mentioned at 5.;6.;7.;8.;9. safe on ceramic coatings like CQUARTZ UK 3.0, CQUARTZ Skin, CQUARTZ DLUX, GLISS, FlyBy FORTE, Reload? And also safe on vinyl wraps, PPF/PF/Clear Bra and Tints? I`d assume Multi X and ClayBar should not be safe for ceramic coatings but the rest? And also i`d assume Tar X and ClayBar should not be safe on vinyl wraps, PPF/PF/Clear Bra and Tints but the rest?
Once again, let me guys apologize if there are a few mistakes in typing or something there and there and if some of the questions might sound a little bit "stupid like" haha. Cheers!
