    Is Gliss Necessary

I have a literally brand new truck, Ive gone over the paint with a light and cant find a single scratch or swirl on it (hasn't even been washed by dealer)

I am wondering if the Essense step is both necessary, and would accomplish anything on a vehicle with perfect paint?

I don't mind buffing the truck out, just would like to avoid having to tape off all plastic, wipe away polish from nooks, crannies, and truck decals...

    Thanks

By the way, I am still planning on Iron X and Eraser regardless, was then planning CQ UK 3.0

If I do use the Essence before CQ UK, does the Essence need to cure for 24 hours?

I'd suggest if you are using Gliss, to use Gliss as a topper for CQuartz UK 3.0

    wow my mistake!!!

I was using the word Gliss to refer to the polish "Essence" by Carpro, hence the explanation of a new truck with no scratches..

If you have a bottle of Essence, tape off a section of the hood and use a soft pad on a section to see of there is any difference in the paint. Even if you don't see a difference finish the hood an move on. (wait an hour before applying CQuartz over Essence) So far, I find on dark colors it does at some depth to the paint, you may not see a difference. You wont see much in correction, but it seem to make great paint "pop" before you seal it with CQuartz.

No it is not necessary. You can prep wipe and apply the coating as soon as you are done polishing.

Here you go. Like I said before, I used Essence with a gloss pad. There were two areas I hit with Meg's 205 first, then let it cure for 24 hours. 2 layers of Cquartz UK 3.0 and Dlux on trim. Pics are hopefully in order. I'm no.pro, but I'm pretty happy with the results. Last pic is a Reset foam foam wash from last weekend. I've got just shy 1500 miles on her now.
