Ceramic coating bicycle wheels. CQuartz UK or DLUX ?

    Hello,

I've used CarPro products for a few years now and have been really happy with the results.

I'm soon to be getting a new bike and would like to ceramic coat the wheels (which are lacquered/clear-coated carbon fibre) to keep road grime to a minimum.

Does anyone have any suggestion as to whether DLUX or CQuartz UK would be a better product for them?

I've used CQuartz on my car's painted body panels and DLUX on the lacquered/clear-coated wheels but what's the key differences between these 2 products?

Any information or guidance would be much appreciated.

    Short Version:

I personally use DLux for black trim/plastics on vehicles.

For paint/clear coat I would recommend CQuartz UK.

Thanks for the reply, the key reason for asking is that DLUX is recommended for car wheels and painted brake callipers - I believe due to its resistance to heat - applicable for brake callipers for sure.
I was wondering why DLUX is recommended for wheels (paint & clear-coat) over CQuartz.

I have used DLux on wheels on rare occasion. It works but...
I prefer to use a ceramic coating CQ UK or CQuartz SiC when I can.

For a bicycle you can get away with either one. Use what you have.

    ^ Agreed.
They will all do a good job.

I thought I'd throw out a few options if you wanted to try something different.

Be sure and post some pictures when you are done.

    Thanks for all the replies.

I've got both DLUX & CQuartz and maybe because DLUX is thicker it last longer? I've never recoated my wheels or brake callipers and they still bead water nicely.
I'll probably use the last of my DLUX in that case - coating the wheels and maybe the spokes shouldn't be too time consuming a job.

    Cheers
