    Front Cover What For?

I saw a front cover https://www.subarupartspros.com/sku/m001sfg000.html that is a hard plastic cover. Could someone help me where do you use this and why? Is this for paint protection?

Actually, it is not hard plastic. It is soft vinyl fabric.
This is really Old Skool rock chip protection.

    It has many drawbacks...
It causes scratches when dirt gets between the bra and the paint.
If it gets wet you must remove it right away so it does not "stain" the paint.
It must be completely dry before you can put it back on your car.
It's not pretty and they are usually semi-difficulty to put on a take-off.

However, if you drive on a gravel road or roads with lots of rocks it may be a good option.

IMHO if you have rock chip concerns, Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a better way to go.
