What did I do to get there problem/marks? Can it be polished?

Hi

I put CQUK 3.0 on my car about 4 months ago or so. Afterwards I saw some misshappenings but didn't bother about it as I was happy and the rest of the results.

Attaching 2 pictures. They are kinda hard to photograph. The cars paint is brown. These marks aren't white or anything but looks more blueish and black.

How did I get these marks?
Can I use regular pads and compound to remove it and reapply cquk? If I can fix this, do I need to do the whole hood or can I mask a smaller area and polish and coat it?

It's hard to tell without looking at the physical paint but...

IMHO CQ UK 3.0 is one of the easiest coatings to apply/remove.
It is possible you left a "high spot" that didn't get wiped away.

I'm a bit fussy when applying and removing a ceramic coating.
I use a Scangrip light without the diffuser when doing paint correction.

I use the diffuser on the Scangrip when applying/removing a coating.
Using the Scangrip with a diffuser allows me to see any "high spots".

I personally would not use a compound to remove the coating high spot.
A soft pad and finishing polish are usually enough the remove it.

I would only polish the small area where you left a high spot.
Then recoat only that area (and a little outside where you polished).

Merlin gave the best advice. What you have there is a "high spot" almost certainly. This is where you didn't wipe the coating off in this one little spot. It can be avoided in future by having good ambient lighting and tilting your head a bit and looking from different angles as you wipe off the coating. Pay special attention to concave curves, especially tight ones.

If the high spot has been cured for a long time such as yours then you MIGHT try Essence PLUS and be done without re-coating but it is highly unlikely that will remove it once it is fully cured. Merlins solution will work perfectly well.
