Last spring I applied a ceramic coating on my cars with 2 coats of Gliss as a topper to help prevent water spots. It turned out great, and I'm very happy with the results. Since Gliss has a one year life span, I'm looking ahead at applying SiC as a topper next spring to get the extra durability. I don't want to polish the car again and start over unless absolutely necessary.

My question is, what do I need to do to prepare the surface to accept SiC over the existing Gliss coating or how do I remove Gliss to prepare the existing ceramic coating to accept SiC without removing the existing ceramic coating?

Thank you for your help!
