EliXir - I can't imagine there being a better QD

I've been diluting ECH2O and using that as a QD. It leaves an amazing shine. I got some good advice and was encouraged to try CARPRO's EliXir as a QD.

My first go was on the front fairing of my Harley. It goes on easy, feels great, stays super slickery and leaves an amazing shine. I was grinning from ear to ear when I was done and couldn't wait to do the rest of the bike.

For those who used to make Merkin's Magical Elixir, do you still do so with the release of Carpro Elixir?

Carpro Elixir consists of the original combo formula plus a little Carpro extra. So for me, I use Carpro Elixir. Have you tried it?

I haven't used any Carpro products, yet. I'm one of those stubborn farts who has been resisting going to coatings and desperately clinging to my trusty Finish Kare 1000p LOL. My daily driver for the past 22 years is on its last leg so I really don't see a point in coating it but I am searching to replace it with a truck for possibly going mobile with detailing and I plan to coat the truck with the Carpro line so I have been researching Carpro products for the past month or so. I found this forum a few days ago and have been reading on it.

Interesting, from all my research, I hear alot about cquartz UK, I don't hear much at all about SiC.

Could you give a quick and dirty synopsis about Sic and what it is about it that you like SiC better than UK?

Hmmmm, I thought I knew what I wanted my first order of Carpro to be but now you have me second guessing myself, lol.

So if I were to take your reply(Easy to apply/remove/Looks Great/Feels Slick) and restate it in a different way, would I be correct? Changes in Bold:

Even easier than UK 3.0 to apply/remove
Looks even Better than UK 3.0
Feels even slicker than UK 3.0

The only reason I was planning to get UK 3.0 is because that is what I see people using on videos but I am certainly open to going with SiC.

Also, would you mind critiquing my initial order and my thought process for using it:

    First Order:
Maintenance Kit 1L (Reset, Reload, Elixir, Tar X, Iron X) 151.95
    EcH2O 1L 27.49
    DeScale 1L 32.99
    Lift Snow 1L 30.99
    Iron Wash 1L 29.99
    Cquartz SiC 30 ml 63.99
    Eraser 1L 22.99
250 ml Essence Extreme Gloss 24.99
    3 Gloss Pads 29.67
Total 415.05 - Ouch *(See Below)

    Process for using
    1)Foam Lift Presoak
2)Pressure wash Lift and as much dirt and other "stuff" off
3)Descale bucket wash to remove any mineral deposits
    4)Tar X wipe down
5)Reset Wash to remove Tar X
    6)Iron X wipe down
7)Reset Wash to remove Iron X and use wash as lube for clay (concentrate will be higher than usual to add to lubricity of wash for claying)
8)Ultracut Compound with cutting or polishing pads I already own
9)Reset Wash or Eraser to remove Ultra Cut polishing oils
10)Reflect Polish on finish pads I already own
11)Reset Wash or Eraser to remove Reflect polishing oils
12)Essence Extreme Gloss with Gloss Pads and wait and hour
    13)Eraser
    14)Cquartz UK or SiC Coating
15)45 to 60 min later, second Cquartz UK or SiC Coating

Would you agree with my purchase and process?

    * also, does Carpro US/Sky's the Limit ever have 10/15/20% off sales like some of the other detailing sites? I could definitely use one with an over $400 initial purchase, lol.
