    Website Design

    Hi all,

I'm Walter, running Oak City Auto Detailing. I've set up my website https://www.oakcityautodetailing.com/ and I'm looking for advice to improve it. I'd appreciate tips on layout, visuals, content, mobile responsiveness, and SEO.
    Thanks,
    Walter

Hey Walter, how are you homie?
I am writing this reply from a SEO point of view.
After analyzing your website I have found two major problems. One is on the homepage and another one is on the services pages.
First thing that I noted is that you are using two H1 tags on the homepage. This is not good for website optimization. A page should have only one H1 tag.

Second thing I noted on your services pages. Again on your services pages you are using more than one H1 tags to price your services. As I said above you should be having only one H1 tag on a page.
To price your services you should change them to H2 tags.
In this way the search crawlers will find it easy to understand the page structure of your website.

Hey man, thanks. The reason I had two H'1s is because I had two header sections for mobile and desktop, one would be hidden using custom ccs. This was so the image would fit your screen. Squarespace now added an update where you can edit on mobile and desktop and it does not change the other format. My keywords have gone up a lot, especially for this service page (https://www.oakcityautodetailing.com...auto-detailing) and I am know working on the design and UI to increase conversion rates. Thanks for your help again and I apologize for the late reply.

Yepper, you are only allowed one H1 per page.
Keywords are a big deal, however, they must be used per page in a "conversation style" format.
Try only to use them as needed so you do not penalized for "keyword stuffing".

No Prob. The list above a just af a few of the SEO tools I use. I hope they helped.

If you use Google Chrome, use the three buttons (upper right) > More tools > Developer Tools > Lighthouse
Performance should be 90 or above for mobile. Google looks a "Mobile First" then "speed".
There was a time when Google developed Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) but mobile pages have gotten faster now.

Thanks for the reply. I have used Page Optimizer Pro for on-page SEO so I am good on that now. Just the hiding mobile sections thing was holding me back not I have that fixed.

How has resolving the issue with hiding mobile sections positively impacted your website's performance, especially concerning user experience and SEO?
