This one was fun. Neighbor from across the street, Jeremy, has been watching me work and stalking my Facebook posts of details and finally stopped to ask about CQUARTZ. After a short discussion and showing him coated versus non coated panels on my truck he decided that CQUARTZ classic was what he wanted on his black jeep.
He is an engineer who spent the past 7 weeks working a construction project at a chemical plant about 60 miles south in Sweeney Texas. 120 miles round trip on dirty roads and parked at a construction site left the jeep quite dirty.
Put the jeep through a good foam bath, iron X Decon, apc wheel well cleaning then on to the surface prep with Ultima WW and Decon towel before starting the polishing. The paint wasn't terrible but had its share of wash marring and a handful of notable defects.
Only a couple that required wet sanding, the worst being on the hood, then it was on to polishing to remove the wash marring and other light defects. Jeep paint actually works pretty easy and all those flat panels would make you think it's an easy job, but there were an alarming number of areas that big machines just won't fit so the minis got a workout here.
Jeep went Tron for a day while polishing then it was on to some big change.... Coating jeep plastic with DLUX is just one of those things that you know your customers will appreciate more with time. Fully cleaned and scrubbed all plastic fenders, bumpers and various handles and small parts with Meg's apc, then eraser to ensure good bonding. Coated every outside piece of plastic with DLUX and they look amazing!
Then it was on to paint... Eraser'd the paint and coated with a healthy double coat of CQUARTZ Classic adding huge depth to the black paint.
What truly made this project great was coating the mat black wheels! Not only do they look sick now but they stay so clean.
Center caps where removed and coated then the tedious process of coating all the face surface began
Including removal of the spare
The process is tedious, but the finished product is amazing!!
Gave the interior a light clean and dress with Carpro PERL and finished a few details on the outside like headlight and taillight coating for full exterior protection before returning the jeep to an ecstatic Jeremy.
Here's one of several conversations that have followed since completion.

Again.... The biggest reward is a happy customer.
Enjoy!
