I love the new Corvettes and was looking forward to working on this one! It was to be clothed in its Finest of course. Nothing but.

Here it is as it arrived:

A little bit of smeared bug guts for ya:

This was not to be a wheels-off detail, but they still got tended to well. You'll see later.

Nice subtle calipers:

First up was the wash. The usual for me, wheels first.

Tires were cleaned with Zep 505.
Barrels cleaned with Tarminator followed by Zep Citrus and Megs HW.
The faces were cleaned with a spray of ZC and washed with a demoted wash mitt using HW.
The wells were cleaned with LATA.
The barrels were shot with Permanon to give them a bit of protection.

The car was then washed with Megs HW followed by a decontamination wash of IronX paste.
It was then brought inside and clayed using my CarPro clay towel.

It was only scheduled for a one step polish. Seeing it under the lights, this was all that was going to be needed..see:

It was given a one step polish using a yellow B/S pad + Megs 205 + Flex 3401. It made the flake come alive and gave it a nice glow. The exhaust tips were hand polished with M205 + mf and subsequently double coated. The trim was done with DLux. The windshield got an upgrade to Forte. The paint, glass, head and tail lights were all given a double coat of CQF. I also coated whatever I could get to on the calipers. Here it is after one coat. I wanted to make sure I got some shots before it rained:

You can see the very cloudy sky in the hood reflection:

After its mini photo shoot, it was brought back inside for its second coat of CQF and then baked.

It turned out to be sunnier (not much) than before. Here it is all done now:

Thanks for looking! Comments appreciated.

Did you encounter some "bad" paint. I heard that they are notorious for that.

What can I say about your work and documentation..... Awesome!

Looks good Richy. Nice work as usual.
Thanks so much for both the comment and the effort to make it!

Wow, interesting Claude...no, not in this case, no. In fact, this is only the 2nd Stingray I've done. The first was white. Is it any particular colour?

Very enjoyable as always, you certainly never disappoint buddy!! Thanks for making time to share it with us!

Great job Richy. Seems like a lot of vettes as of late, not for you but in general.

Thanks! Maybe the Vette community has more smarts than we gave them credit for?? Hehehehe...just kidding. Funny how that goes though?
