Got the pleasure of doing a full coating job on this brand new beauty. Came in very clean with just a few very minor scratches but we felt there was a little more potential gloss to be found and gave her a full once over with Meguiars 205. Cleaned and prepped all surfaces with eraser and gave her the treatment she needed. All plastic and wheels coated with DLUX, all painted surfaces coated with CQUK.

There was once lesson to be learned here. CQUK doesn't like Houston summer temps.

That DLUX came out great - going to have to pick some up here soon.

Looks absolutely perfect. Nice work. Can you please explain the UK complication you were having?

I would guess it was too hot for UK. It likes lower temps for flashing.

So sorry for not seeing this earlier. Haven't really been in the forum much lately....

In my experience, it's not just temperature but humidity that seems to effect UK. Application is no prob but removal can be tough in houston's high humidity. Have been using classic pretty much exclusively and have all but eliminated the problem. Until I have a climate controlled shop, that's my answer.

Yeah humidity really hurts UK. Basically you have to apply in smaller sections when working in high humidity. I use classic during summer now. Just to darn hot to use UK. Or I will work UK late at night when temps and humidity is down a little.

Completely agree. Unfortunately our humidity is sky high at night so I just stay with classic. Houston is just an obnoxiously damp place. :(
