Hi Everyone,

I got my Porsche 911 yesterday (brand New White).I have several questions;

When is it safe to start waxing my new car?
Can I apply the Hydro2 right away?
Can I use Iron X on my new car?
Should I clay the car?
Do I need to wax it before I apply Hydro2?
What Shampoo do I use after applying Hydro2?
Is Hydro2 the final Product of application? I mean there is Cquartz UK.
When do I apply Cquartz UK before or after Hydro2?

I have the "sample kit", Iron X shamoo 1L,Erasure 500ml and a mild clay.

Please can someone help me with the procedures and what products to apply first and last.

Hi Yashin, welcome to CPF!

Yes, you can start waxing now - Wash the car first of course.
Yes, in this case do NOT wax the car. Instead use the Hydro2 but don't mix the two. Just Hydro2
Yes, you can Iron X per the directions on the product page at www.carpro-us.com
Probably, it depends on what all contaminants are on there. If it is only iron bits then Iron X will solve this. Likely you will want to do both
No, definitely don't wax it if using Hydro2! Hydro2 takes the place of and is MORE functional than wax
Use CarPro Reset, it will keep the Hydro2 acting right longer, cleans better, and doesn't deposit film like other shampoos
It depends... You COULD decontaminate, polish, Erase, and apply CQ UK and apply Reload a few hours later OR do Hydro2 on its own, or do the UK process and top with Hydro2 sometime in the future IF you wanted to.
IF you apply CQuartz UK then wait a minimum of 7 days before you start using Hydro2

Hey Corey,

Thank you for your quick response.

how do I know if the dealership waxed the car before?

Do I need to use erasure before Hydro2?

Regarding interior leather how and what should I order?

Its Brand new leather.

Yashin, they make a coating for the leather as well. This is probably the best time to apply as hopefully nobody at the dealer applied anything to the interior. Where do you live, sometimes guys will not mind showing you how to do things, you have questions about.

Chris, I am in Canada, Ontario, windsor.tell me how long is this product on the market? it won't crack or make my leather brittle with time?

No it won't, it's basically a coating for your leather which resists stains and repels liquids etc. Look up Richy he is a member here and is an authorized Cquartz Finest installer. He does excellent work and knows his stuff. He also lives where you live. Here is his website:

Congrats on the new 911!
I would have the car polished and coated by a professional as soon as you possibly can. I did this about 4 months after my purchase and the only thing I wish is I would have done it sooner. My next new car purchase will get coated as SOON as possible after leaving the dealer.

Congrats Yashin on the new car! Other than that I have nothing to offer that hasn't been already...LOL!

It does the opposite, preserves the coating that's on the leather and stops the leather from fading, and deterioration.

You will love CQuartz Leather! As will your installer ;) really nice to use

Thanx, Rick.I have ordered the product and will arrive on Wednesday hopefully and hopefully its not too cold outside so I can start immediately.

Thank You for the tip, really appreciate it.

Looking forward to speaking to you and just talking in general, LOL.

I have received all my products from E-shine Canada.

They don't supply Finest and CQuartz Leather to amateurs. So I ordered Hydro2 and Fabric & Leather.
Did not order CQuartz UK because don't know the difference between UK and Finest.

Questions;

If I apply "Fabric & Leather" now is it a good idea or should I wait for "CQuartz Leather"?
OR can the CQuartz Leather be applied afterwards?
Is there a huge difference between the two?

Also I applied Hydro2 on the one of the panels and if the water is not wiped off it leaves heavy water marks!!! is this normal?

Is it safe to apply Flyby30 on rubbers and sunroof seals?
I also managed to scratch the sunroof glass with Ceriglass with the pad supplied. Because there were some watermarks that would not come off easily and the glass was not becoming hydrophilic so i polished it a couple of times and quite hard in straight lines(lots of Pressure),it was only after I watch a youtube and realised that the glass should be wet and let the ceriglass dry, which did the trick.

There should be more instructions on how to use the product. Now I got a nice straight scratch on my glass roof!

On the leather wait for CQuartz Leather.

On fabric you can use the CQuartz Fabric and Leather (now discontinued) or the new Cquartz Fabric. Both are great.

Yes, it's VERY normal that if you apply heavily mineral laden water to a surface and leave it to dry that the minerals will remain after the water evaporates.

I would advise speaking to the store you buy the product from on their choice of instructions they supply in their store. I'm unfamiliar with e shine practices in the specificity of their directions. We at CarPro-us.com do our best to provide all directions needed.
