Applying a new Ceramic Coating over PPF

I have a question about Ceramic Coating over PPF. My 2020 Mustang Bullitt had EXPEL PPF installed on the front clip 2 1/2 years ago and Ceramic Coated the entire car. The car is garage kept and taken care of to the extreme by using a number of car pro products including Reset, IronX and Black Out along with various toppers and Ceramic Boosts every couple of months. Although glossy, it seems to have lost some of the gloss over the last 6-8 months. Question is, if I decide to re-apply a Ceramic coating what prep is needed to be done to the PPF coating?

From what I have learned you can use a mixture of Isopropyl alcohol and distilled water and wipe off the PPF.
This will clean it and prep it for applying the coating. Do not "clay" the PPF.

So no polishing is needed before the PPF?

Have you considered using a mixture of Isopropyl alcohol and distilled water to clean and prep the PPF for the new Ceramic Coating, and are you aware that polishing PPF can potentially cause damage?
