Third vehicle I've done for this owner, this being the second Corvette. The first Corvette I did for him was his 2015 Z06, which can be seen here: http://carproforum.com/showthread.php?3813-2015-Corvette-Z06-cQuartz

This 2011 ZR1 has only 6,500 miles on it. Car is registered in Florida (owner has a house down there) so being right on the ocean + salt air is how and why I'm assuming the wheels got so bad. Breaking this car down by numbers, it is 1 of 4,684 total produced, 1 of 806 produced for 2011, and 1 of 159 painted Black that year. Not the rarest of the rare, but pretty rare :)

Washed with Meguiar's D111
Iron X
Tar X
Poor Boy's World Bug Squash
Clay with Adam's clay
Wheels washed with Meguiar's D140
Wheels + Exhaust polished using Mother's Power Cone + Adam's Metal Polish #1 and #2 (I have about 12 hours in the wheels alone)
Wheels coated with DLux
Tires dressed with PERL - 2 coats
Engine Bay cleaned using Tornador, dressed with Meguiar's D4510, engine cover coated with DLux
Windshield coated with FlyBy30, other windows received Reload
Paint polished using Flex 3401 + Meguiar's D300 + Megs 5" MF cutting disc
Paint polished using PC7424xp + CarPro Essence + CarPro 5" Gloss Pad
Paint coated with CQuartz classic

Interior cleaned using Tornador Black + Meguiar's D101 at 10:1 + Steam cleaned (mold removal on door panels)
Seats cleaned using Adam's Leather and Interior Cleaner + coated with CQuartz Leather
Interior fabric/cloth received a coating of CQuartz Fabric
All other interior surfaces treated with Ultima Trim Guard Plus

I love seeing the transformation of details. Then again, I guess we all do and that's why we do what we do (if you can make sense of what I just wrote. I just confused myself :) ). Man, those wheels did have some mold on them. I'm guessing it sits around a lot? Great job and thanks for sharing.

Goodness...What a turnaround especially with the mold! Did he say if that car is kept in a garage? I'd be very concerned about the mold.

I agree. I was thinking the same exact thing. I've never had to deal with mold on rims, especially like that. I guess it's the area & climate. I would think it sits outside a lot (if not all the time).

However, it was a great job getting the mold off & getting them to shine!!! :)

Definitely...nothing comes close to the feeling I get when I see the finished product I created..taking something 'worn' per-se, and making it look brand new!

Car did sit around a lot, like the rest of his cars, but now that I'm taking care of them on a monthly basis he loves to drive them! He's the kind of guy that just likes to get in and drive :)

This ZR1 sat in Florida for two years, the door panels had white mold on them as well. I forgot to take 'after' pictures so I didn't post any 'before' photos here.

Owner has also told me has an an Anniversary addition sitting in his garage down in Florida...no telling what it looks like :D
His cars up here are kept in a climate controlled building though.

So you even had to deal with mold on the door panels? Wow, what an impressive job. Even without seeing the before & after pictures of the door, if they turned out even the slightest bit as good as the wheels turned out, I'm sure they look great!!!

Great Job... :)
