I had coated this vehicle about a year ago. At that time, we coated it with OC2.0, so this time around the owner decided that he wanted to remove that coating and apply CQuartz Finest
He also wanted to change the look of his wheels, so we sent those off to have them powder coated.

While the vehicle was on the stands, I started my compounding/polish process.

Cutting was with a MegsMF cutting disc and 205, then following that with MegsMF Finishing pads and 205, followed by CarPro Reflect on the new Gloss pads.
Once the wheels came in, I applied two coats of CQuartz Finest and cured them with Infrared curing lamps.
We also had Paint Protection Film to the front bumper, hood and mirrors of the vehicle prior to coating.
CQuartz Dlux on all the trim, brought it back to new.

Four layers of CQuartz Finest later and this is what we have. I am going to get professional pictures taken of this one for some marketing.

Enjoy.

100ML of FINEST used!!

Now that is what I am talking about!! The gloss is riduculous..... but 2 bottle of the "BOOM SAUCE"!?!?! That is AWESOME!

Great Job H.D.

4 coats. Damn that's a lot of CQF.

You have a huge shop, what else do you do there other than detailing?

Two bottles Doc!! We were basically going for as many coats as I could pull. The owner stayed thru the process to determine per coat usage. We were at about 17.5 ML per coat and he was impressed with the consistency of each application.
I told Corey that after two coats your getting a noticeable change. After three it goes up and then after four, it's stupid.
I think I may get this one shot professionally next week and really use the pictures.
The application was great, using Wes' technique thru to the end, except on the fourth coat I applied with circular hand motions and then leveled with long back and forth strokes.

I use half of the shop, about 2,000 sq ft. The owner owns a commercial landscaping business. He put the wash bay in and I use that the the bay beside it.
He is constantly talking about doing improvements.

Thats a lot of Finest. Great work!

How do you like the new gloss pads?

The gloss pads are great! With Reflect, I had some times before where I was not overly impressed, but with the gloss pad, as the last step prior to wipedown, it gave everything a wet, very glossy look. I have been really happy with them.
