Hey guys when is it to cold for wax to cure or properly set up my go to has been C845 but does anyone recommend something better for winter?
 
What about Hydro2 or Hydrofoam?? I've gotten 6months durability on Hydro2 before on a daily driver and no garage.
 
Thanks, I'm not familiar with those products but I will research.
 
I know it's not Carpro related, and although I live in Sunny South Florida, Coli 845 has always been known as the "Rocky Balboa" for a winter wax.
I can't offer any feedback on Hydro2 or Hydrofoam for winter as it "very rarely" gets cold in the land of sun, fun, bikinis, beaches and palm trees.

^^ This is exactly what I was thinking!! Extremely slick, lots of gloss, super hydrophobic, quick and easy to use!!
 
Ok heres the next question, how does reload stand up next to C845 honestly?

Colli 845 is a great product, and back "in the day" I used a LOT of it!~ However, since the advent of Silica Nano-technology, I've never looked back. I have probably close to a quart of 845 sitting on my shelf collecting dust...
 
Hmm reload you say, I may try, I'm guessing Carpro sells it?
 
Reload and Hydro2 are FAR more chemical resistant than traditional waxes and sealants and they are animals through winter. In Canada we have reports of Hydro2 at 9+ months on daily drivers through a winter and out the other side.

Hydro2:

1-Do NOT apply HydrO2 in the sun or to a hot surface! Applying in this manner will cause streaks that do not wipe off easily.
2-In shaded location or shop wash your vehicle and remove any dirt from the surfaces.
3-Surface must be well cleaned from soap residue and left wet with water.
4-Dilute 1 part HydrO2 to 4 parts water. We recommend a spray bottle for fast and easy application.
5-Spray fine mist of diluted HydrO2 on no more than 1/4 of vehicle before rinsing. Very little is needed and no overlap is needed.
6-From time you start spraying a section to rinsing off should be approximately 30 seconds or less.
7-Immediately rinse well with strong water pressure to produce physical shock and create a well formed coating.
8-Repeat steps 5-7 on the next section of the vehicle rinsing well before moving to next section.
9-Finish by "flood rinsing" the vehicle without a spray nozzle to push all the water off from top down.
10-Dry any remaining water



Reload

Do not apply in direct sun
Apply in good ambient lighting
After washing and drying the vehicle (You can use Reload as a drying aid, but for a stand alone product I would recommend the first application be on a dry vehicle)
Shake well
Spray 2-3 sprays directly onto a microfiber towel or the paint and spread out left and right and then up and down over a 2 to 2.5 sq ft area
Work it into the paint evenly until almost flashed away
Switch to a fresh clean towel and buff the area until no residue remains
Check after each panel before moving to next
 
I love reload. I use it on all my standard details and seen around 7 months protection on some cars. I have never looked back since using Silica sealant. Gives great gloss, slickness and hydrophobic properties.
