Like some details on how well this works over using a clay bar. Also what lubricate would you use?

I have not used this particular product but have used other clay alternatives. Overall they do a good at removing bonded contaminants compared to clay. It saves time as well. For clay lube Immolube works well. Just needs to be diluted to the proper clay lube ratio. It will get sudsy with a clay alternative and not so with clay. But it does work well.

I do use them sometimes by hand or DA.
My method was,
Before start to use on paintwork, attach to DA and season them on clean glass first for 1-2minutes.
Then you will find it is much easier to use compare to direct use on paintwork with brand new pad without season it.
