ClearCut on boat gelcoat?

I have a boat coming in today. No oxidation. Owner just wants to clean it up and polish. Will clear cut handle gelcoat or does it need something more? If a different compound is needed, what do folks suggest for compound/pad combo using a Flex 3401?
