Cquartz @ 18 Months & 2+ Years (Rock ON Baby)!

The subject: (CQ @ 18 months) Is a 2013 Hyundai Elantra Purchased new in January 2013. I use this vehicle as a commuter car. It is driven approximately 70 miles a day, 5 days a week. Parked in a garage at night, but spends about 10 hours outside 5 days a week. It's washed about every 3 weeks with Megs Gold Class and a MM Incredimit. It does not get any type of boosters. I polished it with CarPro Reflect, wiped it down with Eraser, and coated it in January of 2013. I also have CQ on my Truck, it's a little over 2 years since it was applied and holding up just as strong (Next time it gets a bath, I'll snap some pictures and share them as well). I've been using CQ every since it first came to the US, so this does NOT surprise me at all!

Lets get after it...

Sheeting water on the horizontals (IMO the ability to sheet water is what's important)...

Beading on the horizontals (not as important to me, but a great indicator that a LSP is still on duty):

Sheeting water on the verticals (again, IMO the ability to sheet water is what's important)...

Beading on the verticals (including the extreme lower panels)

And another VERY important characteristic to me is the ability of a coating to release stuff from the paint. All that was used to remove the bugs here was this... (No scrubbing at all required)!

And just for fun...

Best thing I've done since I started with this obsession is applying UK to my dd!

As promised above, I gave the Dodge a bath today and snapped a few pictures to show how well Cquartz Original is holding up (@ 2+ years). CQ was applied in March of 2012. The truck doesn't get driven every day, but usually gets out on the weekend (sometimes more often during the winter, if we have bad roads). It gets washed about every 3 to 4 weeks with Megs Gold class. It is parked in my shop most of the time, but as you can see the CQ is still holding up VERY well.

As Mentioned above, what is important to me is the ability of a coating to release dirt and sheet water...

And of course some gratuitous beading shots...:D

Thanks Chris, but I am really not a picture taker at all. I know nothing about taking pictures or cameras. I have a basic point and shoot, it auto focuses for me (at least I'm guessing that's what's happening)...lol There are some different adjustment knobs but I never mess with them, I just left everything to the factory defaults... However, I must agree those are some killer pics, but you should see those vehicles in person, I swear the water is totally afraid of CQ coated vehicles and runs away as QUICKLY as possible!

How have they held up? Is three years possible?

Both of those are my vehicles (my Mustang wears "Finest"). I try to polish lightly and re-coat all three every couple of years (not because the coating has failed, but because it's time for a light polish and a fresh coat). The longest I've ever gone without polishing and re-coating one of my vehicles is a bit over 2.5 years. I regularly get 2+ years on vehicles I coat as long as they are well maintained, (e.g. washed regularly with Reset, and Iron X'd every so often). IMO this is important not only to keep a vehicle looking great, but also for getting the desired longevity from a coating. Most of my customers want their vehicles polished lightly and re-coated every 2 years, it makes them smile...:) 2 years is what I tell them to expect.
