Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I last posted, my Camaro got a new bumper a little over three months ago so I took it as an opportunity to do another full paint correction, followed by 2 coats of CQuartz and a final topper of Reload. I have a couple of questions that I hope the experts here may be able to assist with.
Inbetween the two coats of CQuartz I accidentally smudged the paint with my elbow. I grabbed one of my Microfiber Madness Crazy piles and CarPro Eraser to remove the smudge. I had already buffed down the first coat with a CarPro microfiber suede but am now concerned that touching the car before it cured with my Crazy Pile was a bad idea and that I may have ruined the towel.
Similarly, after the second coat of CQuartz was buffed down I applied Reload using a Microfiber Madness Yellow Fellow 2.0 to spread the product and then buffed the product off with more Crazy Piles. Was this a bad idea?
In all, I went through 1 Yellow Fellow 2.0 and 4 Crazy Piles and upon finishing immediately put them in a clean wash bucket with Reset and a few ounces of all-purpose cleaner (Adam's) in it. I let the towels soak for 12 hours, before washing them twice with Micro-restore.
If I ruined the towels I can accept that. What I want to avoid is using towels that I may have inadvertently contaminated with CQuartz crystals and end up ruining the paint I worked so hard to make perfect.
Long winded post, but thank you for reading. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Chad
