CQUK/CQ Original or DLux on wheels

I have new wheels coming and trying to decide whether to use CQUK/CQ Original or dLux on the wheels. I read people using both. Reading seems to indicate CQ has more SiO2 than dLux. But Is dLux better designed to deal brake dust? I am thinking CQUK/CQ would be stronger (more SiO2), but maybe less flexible than dLux? Thought & input is welcome.

I have CQUK on wheels and so far so good. Also have DLUX in hand. It would be good to hear which one is better especially dealing with brake dusts.

IMO opinion both are outstanding and you can't go wrong with either!! I use CQ Finest, UK, and Original on wheels and save the DLUX for trim. But that's just me, many others use DLUX on wheels with outstanding results as well.

It just seems interesting to me that the dLux can be used on painted surfaces (ie wheels) but the CQ or CQUK can't really be used on plastic. What makes them similar yet different?

Tad or Corey...I have been dreading running out of my last bottle of V5 for being able to immediately double coat wheels when I remove them. What is the wait time for the original CQ for a double coat? I may use that if it works.f It's been a very long time since I've used it and don't remember.

Hey Richy, time between coats for Orignal is 1 hour. As you know, you can apply a 2nd coat of Finest v6 after 30 minutes. By the time you get the last wheel prepped, coated, and wiped off more than 30+ minutes shoud have passed and it's time to start over with a 2nd coat on the first one. Jack stands like these come in very handy, and actually make the job go quicker I think.

Tad, I usually do it one wheel at a time. I'm going to have to change my order of operations. Usually I will do the wheels first and then start to polish the paint. I'm hoping the cold weather version of V6 will be able to coated quicker.

One hour seemed ideal.

I wash this DD whenever I get a chance, so this time it's been about two weeks with dust, pollen and on-and-off rain. It's amazing, they come 95% clean with just a quick spray from an electric PW 25° nozzle! No chemicals needed, just a gentle cleaning with shampoo and a soft MF -- the SpeedMaster isn't very effective on my wheels... can't wait for the IncrediBrush and I think I'll order the two-finger mitt, too.
