I see where it is recommended to use car pro gloss pad when using essence plus to rejuvenate a ceramic coating.
I read to first prime the pad with essence plus and then to just use 3 pea size drops.
Do you really need to prime a gloss pad?
If you do how do you prime it?
I was thinking that would be for a microfiber pad? Not a gloss pad?

Short Version:

A Carpro Gloss pad is non-abrasive. Essence Plus is non-abrasive.
A microfiber pad is abrasive. Essence Plus with an MF pad is abrasive.
You do not want abrasion when applying Essence Plus to coated paint.

Priming a pad is easy. Apply enough product to fill in all of the pours of the pad.
I like to press it in with my fingers. This prevents dry buffing spots on the pad.

Could I not spray some conditioner on the pad ?
It just seems like a waste of product .
I am told to keep my pads clean and then i am told to muck up my pad before using?
I am just a Hobbyist but priming glossing pads make no sense to me?
Feedback is needed for sure?
OR are you saying I only need to prime a microfiber pad?
 
I just put an X on the pad and then rub the pad on the paint. Then I’ll add a few drops and start working with it.
 
I had a few hours with my torqx 21mm da and a few carpro gloss pads working with essence plus.
I quite enjoyed myself.
I would try and zen in on a piece of tape i have on the backing plate, I would look to see it spinning ,it's all about the amount of pressure.
At no time did i go over 3rd speed ,nice and slow little to no pressure trying to let the gloss pads do their job.
Being the car was rather flawless and had a nice gloss to it i'am not sure if i moved the needle any.
I know that i did no harm and only time will tell if any good comes of it.
It had a nice liquid ceramic coating on the car for just over a year. The car is also well maintain with ceramic coating car care products.
Mostly chemical guy stuff but i am weaning myself towards carpro stuff.

I like doing business with him.
I also think carpro has some neat stuff.
Like i said not sure if i raised the bar but getting there was fun!
