I have been using a product that states is a "1-step" polish/ compound that works pretty good at removing minor scratches and swirls but would really like to switch to a Car-Pro product. Would Essence or Reflect be able to used for same purpose? Would I need to fist do a light compound to remove the minor scratches and swirls first and then use the Reflect or Essence just as a finishing polish. Also, can these products be used with a foam pad as I have never used the microfiber type. Thanks :)

Hi James, since this is your first post, welcome to CPF! In regards to your questions; Reflect is a fine finishing polish capable of removing holograms and light wash marring. Essence is a finishing polish, primer, and coat in one. I've had GREAT results removing light swirls and minor defects using Essence with both microfiber and foam pads. With that being said, there are just to many variables to say definitively if Essence will remove the type of "minor scratches and swirls" you will be chasing. It depends on how minor/severe the defects are, how hard/soft the affected paint is, the particular paint type, etc. I would recommend going with Essence and topping it with Reload, an amazing combination. Paired with the right pad, Essence cuts very well ,and the finish/gloss is over the top)!

Thank you very much for the information. I going to Essence to my product line for sure
