A big thanks to everyone on this site who helped me as I navigated using CQuartz for the first time and getting my driver's side door repainted . . .

Side note - I washed my wife's SLK for the first time since coating it . . . all I can say is the CQuartz/Reload combo is freaking amazing!

Overall the car wasn't in too bad of shape to begin with, here's a picture of the car back in January. Had some minor paint issues but not bad for a 5 year old daily driver.

Steps: 2 bucket wash > IronX > 2 bucket wash > clay > 2 bucket wash > 2-stage polish (FG400 + Lake Country Orange CCS pads, SF4500 + Lake Country White CCS pads) > 2 passes with CarPro Eraser > 2 coats CQuartz > Reload . . . total time 5 days . . . (I re-polished with SF4500 after getting the car back from the paint shop)

Tools used: Gilmour Foam Master 2, Microfiber Indredimitt x2, Microfiber Madness Crazy Pile x8, Microfiber Madness Yellow Fellow, Craftsman Electric Leaf Blower

And here are the results! Please ignore my ugly mug in some of the shots . . .

I'm very pleased with the results, thank you all again for looking!

Alright bud! You work is awesome, so now time to spend on a real camera to document your work. Cell phone cam just doesn't give it justice. Great job once again!!

Yeah my wife is actually a great photographer and has a Canon EOS 5D Mark II but she refuses to use it when taking car pictures because she "doesn't know how to photograph cars" . . . I even shared several "how-to" car photography articles with her . . . I blame Apple!
