Flybyforte issues

I've been detailing cars for the past 9 years , so I'm not new to this. I purchased a 2015 honda new and I decided to try out the flybyforte on the front and rear windshield. I was getting crazy water spots on the rear glass, it's rains a lot here in Florida and the car stays outside . It doesn't help that I work in an industrial area next to the airport.

Anyways , the car is 1.5 years old. I bought the flyby forte and followed the instructions.

I washed the windows / taped everything off / polished the glass with the provided ceri glass & a glass polishing pad on my portercable. / washed the glass again / cleaned the glass with eraser / applied 3 coats of flybyforte / waited 4 hours for it to cure . For the windshield , I kept wipers off all night and didn't use them for 24 hours.

End result : wipers chattered like hell. Swapped for new honda blades and it only chattered in one spot at the top of the windshield. No big deal I can live with that. Now here's the kicker : the treatment only beaded water for 2 months on both windshields . So I polished the glass again with ceriglassand used some stoner glass cleaner with rain replant( my original go to) for now.

So my question to you is , did I miss a step ? What went wrong ? This treatment is supposed to last for up to 1 year. Tips? Tricks? Suggestions ?

Hi Chinochanginc, Thank you for the post! This is Corey (On Heaths computer) Crazy busy at SEMA here but real quick for now....
There is a lot going on here n your situation maybe, we could explain the rare but certainly occasional cases of chattering and fixes, variables, etc BUT bad on the fact it lasted only two months for you it seems we have a different fish to fry on that. Could be some relation but its such a long conversation to have one post at a time and we should talk via phone. For sure, if its not working the number one we refund you of course. Number two We want to figure out WHY it dont last which is usually wiping off too hard or too soon. But easier to have an actual conversation. Give us a call and we can talk it over. Angel should be able to help. He handles all phone calls while I am at SEMA. For Refund just email me the order number from my website. Of you purchased it elsewhere then you should contact them and ask refund.

Hi

please explain how did you apply exactly the coat, did you wipe off the surface after applying the coat on the glass?

Forte doesnt need wipe off if there are no high spots, its also very important not to prime too much liquid on the glass even if it feels flashing very quickly and you feel you missed some area without coating.

. Now that you mention it, I was soaking the cotton pad because it was flashing off really quickly in the Florida heat. I coated the windshield three times in circular motions. then with the same applicator i buffed it off. kept it dry for 4 hours and no wipers for 24 hours.

originally yes. but the wipers chattered like hell. so i bought new wipers. I did not apply to the new wipers. I spoke to Corey on the phone yesterday. we came to the conclusion that there must have been some heavy road grime / contaminants on both windshields. I just purchased reset, ceriglass, and eraser. Going to redo the treatment and see what happens.
