I've been detailing cars for the past 9 years , so I'm not new to this. I purchased a 2015 honda new and I decided to try out the flybyforte on the front and rear windshield. I was getting crazy water spots on the rear glass, it's rains a lot here in Florida and the car stays outside . It doesn't help that I work in an industrial area next to the airport.
Anyways , the car is 1.5 years old. I bought the flyby forte and followed the instructions.
I washed the windows / taped everything off / polished the glass with the provided ceri glass & a glass polishing pad on my portercable. / washed the glass again / cleaned the glass with eraser / applied 3 coats of flybyforte / waited 4 hours for it to cure . For the windshield , I kept wipers off all night and didn't use them for 24 hours.
End result : wipers chattered like hell. Swapped for new honda blades and it only chattered in one spot at the top of the windshield. No big deal I can live with that. Now here's the kicker : the treatment only beaded water for 2 months on both windshields .
So I polished the glass again with ceriglassand used some stoner glass cleaner with rain replant( my original go to) for now.
So my question to you is , did I miss a step ? What went wrong ? This treatment is supposed to last for up to 1 year. Tips? Tricks? Suggestions ?
