Help!!!

Im polishing my own personal GTR for car show next month... Ive got this one spot on my front 1/4 panel that is giving me fits!! The haze doesn't want to come completely out for some reason...

I polished one correcting pass (3 directional changes per pass) with my griots 6" polisher on 4.5 and a 4" orange buff n shine and megs #83 cleaner/polish (which is a tad bit more cut than megs 205), which i also used on the rest of the 1/4 panel.*

Next i did a step of Essence on my 3" griots on 4 with a carpro gloss pad and same amount of sweeps over the spot. I did a follow up pass one last time with megs 205 just to see if it would clear the haze and it wont... I even took my rupes 21 to it with a carpro gloss pad and essence and it got a small bit better but if you look hard enough you can still see haze compared to the panel next to it.

Is there something im doing wrong? The rest of the 1/4 panel turned out really great using the same method and gear no haze..., i dont know why this spot just wont clear up completely...

Any thoughts?*

nah, photo doesnt show it... Just very subtle cloudyness in one spot, a trained eye can pick it out...

it almost appears like the silver trim piece is reflecting its color onto the panel (my car is black) and maybe that is what im seeing...

The silver colors reflection in the black around where the tim is set in the front 1/4 panel appears like haze, and seems to radiate evenly out along the trim piece...

Perhaps the paint is fading underneath the clear coat. Happened to my Pontiac Grand Prix on the fenders and doors. I could only see it at a certain angle when the sun it it just right.

Perhaps its a repair spot done at the factory or dealer that's aging/oxidizing differently than the surrounding area.

i dont think it would be as the car is only 2 years old.

That GTR is a Nissan correct? My aunt has a Nissan Maxima and the clear coat failed within a 5 year window. She ended up getting a repaint. So anything is possible.

So im pretty sure it was from my Griots polisher... i used my iBrid nano with the 12mm throw head, and it cleard up within a about 2-3 passes.

now that ive changed machines im POSITIVE it was the griots machine.

My Rupes "3 (mini 75e) doesnt leave the haze behind.

If youre still working with a 3" griots to paint correct you need to upgrade in my opinion.
