Hood Issues?

Merlin

I love shiny things
I need some thoughts and suggestions...

Friend and i polished truck with DA. Looks good was getting late polished hood walked away couldn't get any sealer or wax on it let it go for a few days.
Now it has these white dots in it looks terrible. cant polish or compound it out . looks like little tiny pieces of confetti

I took the truck to the body shop that painted my bumper. He said it was water spots and the hood needs repainted. Theres gotta be a way to get those out. I'm not a body guy but i don't see having to repaint the hood !

I have someone I'm trying to help on another forum that is trying to remove possible "water spots" I suggested Spotless and he has some on the way.

Anyone here have any thoughts or suggestions? Yes, I know, it's hard to diagnose paint issues from a picture.

Hi Merlin, I don't see any pictures. Could be on my end (not sure) as I'm using a new device. Anyway it seems a bit odd to me that the vehicle was polished and looked good, then only a few days later has water spots that won't polish out? Seems to me that if it is water spots and they are only a few days old they should polish out. I wonder if they were actually there after they polished the first time, but just didn't notice them? Or could it be something else? Hard to guess without pictures. Any chance you can try again to post a couple?

I'm wondering if it's some sort of chemical contamination? Tad also brings up a great point, have the spots been there and weren't noticed initially?
Merlin,

Did this person gently touch them to see if there was any surface feel to them?

Ya that's better, as in we can see it now....But wow thats a tuff one. I'm not sure what to think. But like I said above; if it's truly water spots that are only a few days old they shoud be easily polished out or removed with Spotless. Has the Spotless arrived and been tried yet? In addition to Steve's thought of chemical contamination, another thought comes to mind and that is; I wonder if it could be some kind of solvent pop or other CC defect that was only revealed after polishing?

Its very possible they were always there then the polish brought them out. Yes they appeared after the fine pad black DA polish.

More feedback (clues)

You can see where the washer fluid rolled down the hood and i guess burned into the clear coat. Its a perfect line right from the washer fluid nozzle

Now this is interesting...Thoughts?
