IronX Snow

I’m prepping to CQuartz a brand new car. For the chemical decontamination step, I have some regular IronX left over but was interested in the IronX Snow soap. Would that be powerful enough to do the decontamination effectively (I think the car will gave less than 50 miles on roads, total including any transport on a truck, by the time I get it)? If so, could I use that as my wash soap and skip the Reset wash?

And last question (sorry!) would IronX Snow be good for the 6 month maintenance wash cycle, or does that need the full spray treatment? Ultimately I guess I’m not clear on what the use case for Snow is, since I understand it’s not as strong as the spray solution.

Thanks!

Very good questions Jbeard! So I would argue that it is always useful to do a full iron x decon on the vehicle before coating, but seeing that your vehicle hasn't been on the road all that much, you should be ok with just using the snow soap at a higher dilution. you could skip the reset step as well and just do the snow soap.

Most people who use the product add it on top of the iron x treatment just because the vehicles they are detailing are in an area where the iron sediment is more prominent.
My recommendation: Do a full wash with the snow soap and then just spot spray the iron x on the areas where break dust is more likely to accumulate such as the rims, lower parts of the car and the front end.

And asking questions is never something you should be sorry about! Thats why the forum is here!

Thanks for the great info! What dilution ratio would you recommend for the foam lance? The bottle says “undiluted”, and to put a point on the otherwise obvious: does that mean to just pour the raw stuff directly into the lance reservoir, and start spraying? How much of the soap does a car end up taking, typically?
