I'm having a problem with fine microscopic lent remaining on the paint when leveling off the cquartz after it's flashed. I am taking into account my led lights show everything and the car is black but being in the detailing business it gets on my OCD nerves. I use micro fiber everything when detailing. Any suggestions guys?

Did you wash the microfiber towels prior and which towels are you using?

Steve

Yes Steve I keep them all washed in between each vehicle I do. I mostly use the yellow 12 x 12 towels that are for cleaning wax off.

Hello jmdirt, sorry to hear of your linting problem, however I am sure we can remedy it. If you are talking about using MM Yellow Fellows for your wipe off; while they are great towels for their intended uses, they are not the best towel for the task at hand. We recommend, and have had zero linting issues using these suede towels for the initial wipe off http://www.carpro-us.com/microfiber-towels/carpro-suede-microfiber-16x16-10-pack/ and these for a follow-up wipe http://www.carpro-us.com/microfiber-towels/carpro-boa-select-bundle-orange-24-x-16/.

Excerpt from my tips section from thread below:

#2 - Be sure to completely wipe off the residue. It should NOT be difficult to wipe so don't press hard. BUT you do want to go over it enough times to completely remove the residue. This requires going over it a couple times before moving on to the next section or panel. Wiping with only the Suede towels "can" sometimes leave high spots, so I recommend using the CarPro Boa http://www.carpro-us.com/microfiber-...range-24-x-16/ towel after the suede towel'shttp://www.carpro-us.com/microfiber-towels/carpro-suede-microfiber-16x16-10-pack/ (this ensures total residue removal). Also, please be aware that reusing towels that have been used with coatings can scratch paint. Some say they don't have a problem if they immediately after use soak them in a strong APC hot water solution and prior to washing. Personally I don't take the chance.

I would recommend a read through this for anyone using CQ or CQUK, it applies mostly to both.

Dark horse thank you for the recommendation and reply. Definitely will give those a try. Never had such a problem except with black which I guess under led lights I can see the paint better.

Hold up I already use those carpro suede applicators. It's when I'm leveling it off that the more I touch it the worse it gets.

Yes, the 4"x4" towels are used for application, and the 16"×16" are for leveling. They are the same material and wha is best for the intended purpose.

There ya go J...Tad is the man. I would've responded back but someone kept texting me pictures of snow and jammed up my phone...;)
