Hello,
first I am an amateur but NOT a newbie to cut and polish. I used to use some other companies 1,2,3 (I wont belittle the name) but as I am doing a restore on a 1966 Mustang GT 350, decided to try Clearcut. OMG ...Blown away. You have to hear this (before I get to questions). sanding was to 3000 grit trizact. Used the Clearcut, as directed, two sets of passes (low speed, passes, higher, 4 passes, reload pad, repeat). Beautiful. No swirls, haze, nothing. So since I am used to 1, 2, moved to step 2, Machine polish. No No NO. That actually PUT scratches in !!! Yellow pad. So redid that area with clearcut...gone. Moved to #3 but not sure it added any value at all. At least it didn't scratch. AMAZING product. On to questions
1) Can you use clearcut on finer pads (Yellow, Black ) or is there even need to do so ? what is considered final polish with your these products?
2) My plan is to after xx number of days curing to Cquartz and Gliss but ...again, post Clearcut, is there another step I should do ? Essence? On a pad? I am asking this because this product line is new to me (not Cquartz but the whole line line)
Sorry for the long post but this amateur detailer is impressed. I have ceramic coated 4 of our vehicles with Cquartz and of course, always did extreme prep first but for my 1966 ...I want this to be my crowning joy....Thanks to all in advance who reply
