New Wrangler Cquartz & DLUX prep

Let’s talk Jeep Wranglers and consumer coatings.

I wanted to try something new on this new Jeep I ordered.

Black plastic fenders and black hardtop. Not painted.

Prep with essence and a green pad. Assuming vehicle will have only imperfections from factory. Won’t be prepped at the dealer.

Cquartz UK 3.0 on the entire vehicle, or should I use Dlux on the black fenders and hardtop? Or should I use Dlux after the Cquartz UK 3.0 application, or perhaps before?

In the past, Optimum Gloss Coat was my favorite consumer coating.

Willing to try something new this time around. Not familiar with how Cquartz UK 3.0 is applied on plastic trim.

Welcome to the forum.

CQUK 3.0 can be used on all those surfaces if you choose to use only one coating. DLUX will work fine on those areas as well. Also no need to use both DLUX and CQUK on the plastics. One or the other is fine. DLUX does a great job of restoring faded trim but both DLUX and CQUK look good on new plastic.

I've never used CQUK 3.0 on plastic trim.
No reason, it just never crossed my mind.
I'm a CQUK 3.0 on paint and DLUX on trim kinda guy.

CQUK actually looks good on trim. Side by side it has the same look as DLUX. I get where you are coming from. Next time try CQUK on trim. It won't work as good as DLUX on faded trim.
