Just thought I would start a thread here to get some unfiltered opinions on everything.

OC Pro only 5 year warranty now (understandable), minimum of $495 to install. Only comes in 10cc sized syringes (lol wut?). All OC Pro installers have to spend a minimum of $300 a month to keep receiving OC Pro or they get dropped.

Opti-Coat 2.0 no longer exists, replaced by Optimum Gloss-Coat bosting 2 year durability with improved slickness and better resistance.

They're also launching copies to all of the CarPro products...

OptI-Coat Spot Remover
Opti-Coat Iron Remover
Opti-Coat Prep Solution
Opti-Coat Maintenance Wash
Opti-Trim Restore
Opti-Trim Protect

Also Bob Willis over on Autopia had this to say...

I predicted all of this from OPT a year ago in private Facebook groups.............................................. those who read what I said can thank me now......or not, why is everyone so shocked? when I saw a certain Canadian fellow in their booth I turned to the person I was with @ SEMA at the time and said "Watch what happens now".

Guys clamor to the "Me 2" stuff everytime, I just sit back and marvel that those who do not pay attention to how things unfold the same way time after time after time after time.

The oke doke was just pulled again twice in less than a year, hate to be right but those who poo paughed me..................what do you have to say now?.

Thoughts?

I will abstain from commenting on their business because I am most certainly biased to some of the things they have done the past few years but the products they are adding are "interesting"....

Say, anyone ever heard of...

CarPro Spotless

CarPro Iron X

CarPro Eraser

CarPro Reset

That is why we only will do finest, no minimum as the rest do,no buy in,just need to know what you are doing. We decided to only offer what we felt was the best! Not offer the best, but if you do not want to pay that much ,we have this other stuff that works? And nothing is permanent, including the paint you are protecting,as it can be removed by a buffer! The last thing that convinced us was outstanding ownership of carpro-us! None of the other brands offer anywhere near the benifits we have received from carpro!

Ya, pretty much, Corey is always so helpful and willing to go out of his way to help us, Carpro-US is in great hands :).

Optimum will always have an important place in detailing history with the introduction of ONR and the launch of Opti-Coat but it feels like somebody else is running things over there now with $$ in their eyes. I understand the need to make more money and to release more and more products but something about this abrupt announcement seems a little weird. Rasky was talking how since 2010 the price for OC Pro has increased 600% which is crazyyyyyyyyy.

If memory serves me right, ONR wasnt the first rinseless wash. I believe it was QEW (Quick & Easy Wash). Regardless, they have brought some things to the market that pretty cool. On the flip side. CarPro has brought some amazing products to the market too. Remember when IronX and TarX came out.

I also like some Optimum shampoo.

We'll anyway... Optimum is a good company that make good products. Every other forum is bashing their new decisions and I think that shouldn't happen here. If you don't like what they have done recently, then the solution is easy. Each and everyone of you work hard for your money. So spend it how you want on whatever products fill your needs.
