Hello Pros!
I need your advise if how I plan to detail and protect our first ever brand new car is correct.
It is a brand new car and it has been sitting in the dealer's semi covered garage probably even before winter of 2017(closed the deal las January). It still has the protective film on it but is covered with dirt from the transport from Germany to Austria, rain and snow. I asked the dealer not to clean or wash it as I want to take it as it is and do the detail myself.
Car is black metallic and will pick it up on April 6.
(A little info about my detailing experience. Have been deatiling on the side for about 6 years now.Using cquartzuk since 2015 )
Here is how I plan to do it.
1. Power wash with water to remove the dirt without removing the protective stickers yet.
2. Still with the protective stickers on, snow foam the car and rinse.
3. Blow dry the car and remove the protective stickers(except on window trims which are high gloss black-plan to remove it only before ceramic coating)
4. Spray iron-x or sonax iron fall out (I still have a bottle in stock)
5. Rinse then wash again using CG clean slate ( honestly thinking of using fairy dishwashing soap...is that okay) and carpro polyshave the car. ( or should I skip polyshave at all?)
6. Blow dry / towel dry.
7. Polish the paint using CP essense.
(If needed correct imperfection using kochchemie antihologram polish or kochchemie fine polish)
8. Wipedown using 50:50 IPA ( is this a good ratio?)
9. Coat paint with cquartz uk (2 to 3 coats or until 50 ml bottle is over.
10. Top cquartz uk with CP gliss. Hope to be able to atleast do 2 coats using one 30 ml bottle of gliss.
11. Wheels and plastic trims will be coated with DLUX. I there will still be some left after coating rims, wheel wells and trims, then plastic parts on the motor will also be coated with DLUX. If not then PERL will used to protect them.
Interior.
I only plan to use CP INSIDE on the interior including leather.
Kick panel, door sidings will be protected by PERL.
Should I protect the carpet with CP Fabric? Is FABRIC also okay for alcantara leather(middle part of seat is alcantara)?
TIRES and RUBBERC PARTS
Will be protected by PERL. ( what is the best dillution other that what is suggested by CP.
Is it okay to use RELOAD on glass?
Also, do I still need to top the car with reload after cquartz uk + gliss?
Looking forward to your reply and advise.
ROY.
